The GM Authority Take

After experiencing a slight increase in October, Chevrolet Chile sales saw a double-digit drop in November, losing almost 200 units in the penultimate month of the 2024 calendar year. Despite those results, Chevrolet managed to rise from fifth to third among the best-selling auto brands in Chile.

The unfavorable result during November was driven by the poor performance of the best-selling Chevy Groove, which continues to lose sales volume in the country. The entry-level crossover was responsible for sapping over half of the total volume lost by the brand during the month, thereby carrying the primary responsibility for the poor performance. In addition, the Chevy Montana experienced a double-digit drop.

By contrast, most other Chevy models were in the green with notable double-digit increases, including the all-new Chevy Sail. In fact, the popular subcompact car achieved the highest growth rate amongst all Chevrolet nameplates during the month, becoming the second best-selling model for the brand. Meanwhile, the Chevy Silverado continues to see healthy levels of performance, leading the full-size pickup category in Chile.
