Cadillac Escalade sales decreased in the U.S. as well as in Canada and Mexico during the third quarter of 2024, as follows:
The Cadillac Escalade remained the bet-selling model in its segment during the third quarter of 2024, something it has done for well over a decade. Note that sales of the regular-length Escalade and the extended-length Cadillac Escalade ESV are combined this quarter, and are not broken out.
The Lincoln Navigator (see running Lincoln Navigator sales) duo, represented by the regular-length Navigator and extended-length Navigator L, moved up to second place despite sales being flat at 4,484 deliveries. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer family, which comprises the regular-length Grand Wagoneer and extended-length Grand Wagoneer L, traded places to take third with an eight percent dip to 2,630 units. Meanwhile, the Infiniti QX80 posted a 13 percent slip to 2,694 units, and the Lexus LX remained last with an 18 percent drop to 1,497 deliveries.

The Escalade duo earned a combined 44 percent market share in its segment, accounting for nearly half of all sales here. The Navigator family followed with a 22 percent share. The Grand Wagoneer duo and QX80 each posted a 13 percent share, while the LX held a seven percent share.
The full-size luxury SUV segment contracted 12.7 percent to 20,093 units in Q3 2024, meaning that combined Escalade sales underperformed the segment average.
Below, we’ve included sales figures for full-size luxury crossovers for reference. Though they differ mechanically from the aforementioned body-on-frame SUVs by utilizing a unibody construction, they are typically cross-shopped and considered alternatives to regular full-size luxury SUVs. The only full-size luxury crossovers are the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. The rumored Audi Q9 is incoming at some point to slot into this space as another rival. Nevertheless, the Escalade family outpaces these crossovers as well.

Despite their not-insignificant drop during the third quarter of the year, Cadillac Escalade sales still accounted for the lion’s share of the segment. No body-on-frame full-size SUV competitor seems to be able to catch Caddy here, though large unibody crossovers that are cross-shopped with the Escalade are continue getting closer.
We expect the refreshed 2025 Escalade to return Escalade sales into the green throughout the upcoming 2025 calendar year, though it won’t be without competition. In fact, the all-new 2025 Lincoln Navigator was recently revealed as a Cadillac Escalade rival, representing Lincoln’s best effort yet to catch the Escalade.
The 2024 Cadillac Escalade features a few changes and updates, including Super Cruise becoming standard on most trim levels. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine option is no longer offered, as GM Authority was the first to report (check out the reason why the diesel won’t be offered.)
To meet the anticipated demand for the refreshed model, GM will increase production of the 2025 Escalade Sport Platinum and the 2025 Escalade-V.

Oh, the vanity is strong and well in Merica. Who else would pay 20 grand more for a glorified Chevy Tahoe?
