Just days after officially announcing the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox in Brazil, General Motors has just launched Chevrolet’s redesigned compact crossover in the South American country.
The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary officially launched the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox Turbo in the local market, revealing all the details about the model’s specific configuration and equipment for Brazil. In fact, GM Brazil claims that the two range-topping variants of the 2025 Equinox launched were developed with specific content for the Brazilian market, bringing together all the model’s technologies available in the United States.
“The New Equinox Turbo was designed to meet the needs of families who value status, driving pleasure and who enjoy traveling by car with maximum practicality,” said Director of Product Marketing at GM South America, Paula Saiani. “It arrives to establish a new level of design, sophistication, experience and performance in two top-of-the-line versions, Activ and RS, with complementary style and application proposals,” she added.
As the company announced earlier, the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox Turbo is launched in Brazil in fully equipped Activ and RS variants that include distinctive appearances to satisfy different customer profiles. The Activ is aimed at the adventurous consumer, while the RS focuses on urban sportiness with custom grilles and bumpers, a set of different wheels and tires, as well as a cabin tailored to each profile.
Mechanically, both versions of the fourth-generation 2025 Chevy Equinox for the Brazilian market are equipped with the same turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD engine that develops a maximum power of 177 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque, coupled exclusively to GM’s eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the Equinox comes standard with an all-wheel drivetrain.
The all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox has already begun to arrive at official Chevy dealerships in Brazil and will go on sale during the first half of December, debuting OnStar 5G technology in the country with connection speeds up to 100 times faster than the current standard. Customers will be able to choose from five body color options: Cacti Green (Activ only), Radiant Red (RS only), Abalone White, Black Gold, and Shark Silver.

Why the ‘turbo” moniker? Is there a non-turbo version?
Just to emphasize the massive horsepower of this unit, I guess.
Those whills on the RS are SICK.
I notice wimpy street tires on the Activ. LOL.
Interesting they get a few more horses out of the 1.5 compared to the US. The wheels on the red RS are interesting.
This occurs with the vast majority of models sold in Brazil. This is due to the fact that the Brazilian government imposes the addition of up to 27% ethanol to gasoline.
No rebates today 12/3/24 on 2025 Equinox. I guess when sales are down 23%, someone at GM says, “Watch this, hold my beer”!
Toyota and Honda are smiling!!!
BTW…keep an eye of the GM vehicles coming from South Korea. Martial law declared there today!
O% financing dude. Martial law over. You’re a little slow on the news today.
That whole thing looks pretty gaudy to me. The whole thing looks like overkill.
I don’t need 0% financing. I need money off the sticker price. BTW…when I posted this morning martial law was still being questioned.
