The 2025 GMC Canyon debuts the third model year for the third-generation midsize pickup, bringing with it a number of important updates and changes. Among these are new and revised optional packages, more standard features for the Elevation trim, and new paint options. Now, GM Authority is highlighting pricing information for the 2025 GMC Canyon.
Pricing for the 2025 GMC Canyon starts at $39,995, which secures the rear-wheel-drive Elevation trim level. Stepping up to four-wheel-drive bumps that price tag up to $43,295. Opt for the off-road-oriented AT4 trim, and pricing jumps to $47,295, while the range-topping Denali starts at $53,595. To note, both the AT4 and Denali are equipped as standard with four-wheel drive. All prices listed here include $1,595 for the destination freight charge.
Trim Level | Drivetrain | 2025 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|---|
Elevation | 2WD | $39,995 |
Elevation | 4WD | $43,295 |
AT4 | 4WD | $47,295 |
Denali | 4WD | $53,595 |
Compared to the preceding 2024 model year, the 2025 GMC Canyon Elevation is now $2,400 more expensive, while the AT4 trim is now $2,700 more expensive and the Denali is $1,000 more expensive. It’s also worth noting that the AT4X is now offered as an optional package upgrade, rather than as a standalone trim level. Opting for the AT4X ends up costing $58,720 total, an increase of $2,825 compared to the 2024 Canyon AT4X offered previously, as the new-for-2025 AT4X package requires selecting the AT4 Premium Package (RPO code PCU) and the Technology Plus Package (RPO code PDG).
As GM Authority covered previously, the 2025 GMC Canyon Elevation is now equipped as standard with several features previously available via the Convenience Package (RPO code WCP) offered for the 2024 model year, including a Rear Sliding Window (RPO code A28), Rear Window Defogger (RPO code C49), and Outside Heated Power Mirrors (RPO code DLF). The Elevation is also equipped with the ProGrade Trailering System (RPO code ZL6) as standard.
Other noteworthy updates for the 2025 model year include a new Nightfall Edition Package, a revised Technology Plus Package, and more standard active safety features.
All GMC Canyon trims are equipped with the TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine as standard. Under the skin, the 2025 GMC Canyon rides on an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform, with production taking place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Is there any word on when we can configure and order the 2025 canyons?? It’s nealry 2025 already.
You already can order a 25 MY Canyon.
Not on GMC’s website
You order a vehicle thru a dealer, not on GMC’s web site. Go to your dealer and ask to order one. The vehicle looks the same as a 24 MY so it’s not like you need to see the 25 online configurator.
You most certainly can order a vehicle on a GMC’s website
We need an update regarding the 2025 build tool.
GMA reported it would be up a week ago. It’s still not up for Canyon, nor Colorado.
These prices !!! Why are they so expensive for a mid size truck ??
If people are willing the high prices, they’re more than willing to charge those high prices. The same reason people are willing to pay $1K to see Taylor Swift in concert.
These trucks and the Chevy stable mate are already, and still being outsold by the Tacoma. Yet GM thinks it is good policy to significantly raise prices on a considerably smaller, much less comfortable, and just barely more efficient than their full-size brothers, that hold far more of their value over time. Plus there’s no diesel option, and they should have dropped the patched up 8 speed transmission!
They are being outsold partly because Toyota production numbers are much higher.
GM is building at max capacity only 2800-2900 a month.
Toyota are building 3 times as many.
When are going to get rid of the 4 cylinder turbo. Horrible gas mileage for a 4 cylinder. With These prices should be included. Speaking from experience i have a 24 canyon AT4…
Sorry just left a comment regarding the 4 cylinder turbo. Really a small 8 cylinder needs to be in these high priced canyons.
Give the option of a bigger bed, the 6’2 minimum please. Not everyone wants to buy a full size truck. For these prices they should be included.
Overpriced considering its many faults. Jacking up the prices even more and not addressing most of the issues will keep this out of top seller status.
Awful strange that if you give a thumbs up for positive comment you get an increase in the number but when you give a thumbs up for a negative commitment the number count resets to “0” ?? Tomg
Was hearing there was a hybrid coming out for the Canyon, Not!, Heard maybe even a diesel option, Not!, A noticeable change in the turbo engine for better gas mileage, Doesn’t look that way, and also prices were going to be the same if not better for 2025, Definably Not! Seems to be more and more propaganda in the GM house. I recently sold my 2021 GM pickup to GM’s buyers and have been waiting on the pricing for these Canyon’s to order. I am finally discouraged enough now being a GM guy since I was 17 and now in my sixties to admit I am going to move on and not pursue this purchase. Will start looking at other brands right away.
Prices are taking a big jump. Time to look at the Toyota Tacoma.
