2025 GMC Canyon Configurator Live

General Motors launched the third-generation GMC Canyon for the 2023 model year, with the latest 2025 GMC Canyon marking the third-gen’s third model year. Compared to the preceding 2024 GMC Canyon, the 2025 Canyon debuts a few notable changes, such as new exterior paint options, more standard features, and updated package content. Now, interested fans and potential customers can spec the 2025 GMC Canyon using the official configurator tool at GMC’s website.

Pricing for the 2025 Canyon kicks off just under the $40,000 mark with the Elevation 2WD configuration, starting at $39,995. Stepping up to the Elevation 4WD costs $43,295. Customers are also offered the off-road-ready Canyon AT4, which starts at $47,295, and the more luxurious Canyon Denali, which starts at $53,595. All prices listed include $1,595 for the destination freight charge.

Check out our previous coverage for a full breakdown of 2025 GMC Canyon pricing information, including all of the options and packages on offer.

As for options, the 2025 Canyon is available with the AT4X AEV Edition package, which is tagged with RPO code XEV and tacks on a number of trail-spec equipment upgrades for an additional $10,100. Alternatively, off-road enthusiasts can grab the AT4X Package (RPO code XEW) for $6,980. As a reminder, the Canyon AT4X is now a package upgrade rather than a standalone trim level as was the case previously.

Other highlights include the Nightfall Edition (RPO code XNF), which incorporates blacked-out aesthetic bits for an additional $4,595. Speaking of aesthetics, the 2025 GMC Canyon also introduces three new exterior colors, specifically Glacier Metallic (paint code GAE), Rapids Metallic (paint code GAL), and Desert Sun (paint code GBF). The three new hues replace Solar Flare Metallic (paint code GCP), Dynamic Blue Metallic (paint code GLT), and Desert Sand Metallic (paint code GTL).

As for the powertrain spec, the 2025 GMC Canyon is motivated exclusively by the TurboMax turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, which produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin, the 2025 GMC Canyon rides on the GMT 31XX platform, with production taking place at the GM Wentzville Assembly plant in Missouri.

    1. Why? That old 3.6 was a dog compared to this new 2.7 which out performs it in nearly every metric. Give me a smaller turbo motor versus more cylinders and NA in most instances. GM did great with the 2.7 (and the 2.5 in the large CUV’s too) as it read what the vehicle was used for and designed a very competitive motor for that vehicle…

  3. In my opinion, the Canyons and Coloradoes have definitely “raised the bar” on the competition in the Mid-Sized truck category. In fact, I think that GM should have a lil’ bit of “design fun” maybe on a mid-cycle refresh version that might appeal to the Younger Generation even more than the success that they’ve already been experiencing. What I mean is…..since the front grille on the new Canyons is already large (like only GM has mastered for years) so much so that if you really pay attention to the competitors, these manufacturers are definitely trying to make their own versions of the Denali grille in particular (mostly on their SUVs) because the, what I like to call, “Elegant Aggression” embodies what it means to be “Professional Grade”. I feel that the grille on these Canyons are already in the shape of a Large “X”, then make a limited edition “X-Men” version that highlights certain characters of the X-Men Marvel Universe (i.e. Wolverine) with the colors that the characters are known to wear. Also, if you wanted to, have an LED “X” that connects diagonally to the opposite side that can be turned off and on or automatic from a button or switch on the dashboard that matches the character’s color recessed behind the grille.
