2025 Chevy Silverado EV RST Offers New Dark Package

The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV debuts the second model year for the all-electric pickup, bringing with it a few notable changes. Among these are new trim levels and new optional packages. GM Authority already covered one of these new packages, specifically the Black Package Plus (RPO code PDK) for the mid-range LT trim. Now, we’re back at it with a look at the new Dark Package for the RST trim.

While not as elaborate as the Black Package Plus (RPO code PDK) for the mid-range LT trim, the Dark Package RST (RPO code PDL) for the RST trim does incorporate a few notable items that enhance the Silverado EV with a slightly darker aesthetic. These include (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Black nameplates (RIK)
  • Black wheel lug nuts (SPY)
  • Front Fender Decal (5LM)

The Dark Package RST is available on RST Extended Range and RST Max Range variants, and is offered as an LPO-level option, which means it’s installed at the dealer, rather than at the factory where the vehicle is initially produced. Pricing information for the Dark Package RST is currently unavailable.

The official 2025 Chevy Silverado EV configurator is now live, with customers currently offered three different trim levels – the LT Extended Range, rated at 408 miles per charge; the RST Extended Range, rated at 390 miles per charge; and the RST Max Range, rated at 460 miles per charge. Pricing for the LT Extended range starts at $75,195, pricing for the RST Extended Range starts at $89,395, and pricing for the RST Max Range starts at $97,895.

Feature highlights include wheel sizing up to 24 inches in diameter, the Multi-Flex tailgate, a 17.7-inch diagonal LCD infotainment display, and Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist technology. Each configuration is equipped with four-wheel drive.

Under the skin, each configuration rides on the GM BT1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

  • I’ve never understood who GM thought would buy these things. Remember they were planning on building and selling half a million units annually by now with Orion being retooled to churn out 400,000 vehicles to supplement production at Hamtramck. But where were they expecting to find that many buyers for a $100,000 EV pseudo truck.

    • The execs and the shareholders of these huge companies (hedge funds) are completely out of touch with normal people.

  • This truck & style looks like a 2000 something Avalanche! Boring & unaffordable! GM WTF? Kenny Nash CEO A BIG EVENT ENTERTAINMENT

  • 100K for a vehicle! Who can afford this stuff? How effing long will it take me to save enough or pay off a loan for a 100k pickup truck?

  • Not sure why there is so much hate for this vehicle, nobody is forced to buy one. While i'm not crazy about the avalanche style body, I do like the midgate allowing you fold down the rear seats and extend the bed if you need it. I also think the vehicle pictured above is pretty sharp looking. Up to 460 miles of range is pretty impressive. Hopefully the price will eventually come down.
