The Chevy Silverado EV initially launched for the 2024 model year, with the subsequent 2025 model year bringing a number of important updates. Among these are new trim levels, as well as a new battery capacity option. Additionally, the 2025 model year debuts the new Darkened Appearance package for the mid-range LT trim level. Now, GM Authority is detailing the upcoming 2025 Chevy Silverado EV LT’s new Darkened Appearance Package.
The new Darkened Appearance Package does exactly what you might expect, lending the all-electric pickup a darker overall aesthetic. The Darkened Appearance Package is tagged with RPO code PDK, includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses:
- Black nameplates (RIK)
- 22-inch Black painted aluminum wheels (SES)
- Front Fender Decal (5LM)
This specific Darkened Appearance Package is exclusive to the Silverado EV LT trim level and cannot be combined with the LT Premium package (RPO code XTF). Pricing for the Darkened Appearance Package has not yet been disclosed.
Positioned between the entry-level Work Truck (WT) and the high-end RST First Edition, the 2025 Silverado EV LT offers a balanced mix of features and performance. Standard equipment on the LT trim includes:
- 12-way power-adjustable front seats
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- Heated rear outboard seats
- Sport heated steering wheel
- Memory settings for the driver’s seat and mirrors
- Power tilt and telescoping steering column
- 11-inch digital Driver Information Center
- 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in
- Bose 7-speaker premium audio system with Richbass woofer
- Wireless phone charging
- 5G vehicle connectivity
Under the hood, the Silverado EV LT utilizes a 20-module battery pack with an 11.5 kW onboard charging module and support for DC Fast Charging up to 350 kW.
For those customers that need more, the LT Premium package (RPO code XTF) provides upgrades like Black assist steps (RPO BVE), the Multi-Flex Midgate (RPO ESG), and 22-inch wheels (RPO Q7L). The package also includes GM’s hands-free Super Cruise driver assistance system (RPO UKL).
Built on GM’s BT1 platform, the Silverado EV lineup is produced at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan, GM’s very first dedicated hub for electric vehicle manufacturing.

First version of this thing I’ve seen that actually looks pretty decent. I’m sure it’s still stupid expensive, so not even close to anything I’d consider, but I guess they have to spend their development dollars somewhere. Driving around east of Seattle, there are TONS of EV’s, but I’ve only seen 4 GM EV’s; a Blazer EV, Equinox EV, (both on test drives I believe), and 2 purchased Lyriq’s. Wonder who’s buying these?
