Units of the all-electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ have started to ship, with initial units arriving at U.S. dealerships in mid-December 2024.
For instance, an Cadillac Escalade IQ in Black Raven exterior paint (color code GBA) and with the Luxury 1 trim showed up at Tom Kelley Cadillac in Fort Wayne, Indiana, priced at $135,699 including options. Images of the vehicle are seen here.
Another example with a similar color appeared at Lynn Layton Cadillac in Decatur, Alabama, this time priced at $129,990. This, too, is a vehicle configured in the Luxury 1 trim level. Other dealerships have either begun to receive their first Escalade IQ shipments or are showing the vehicles as being in transit.
GM first pulled the sheets on the Cadillac Escalade IQ in late summer 2023, revealing key details such as the model’s sleek styling, its 55-inch coast-to-coast infotainment screen, and its standard 24-inch wheels. The electric SUV offers two standard and two optional wheel styles for 2025, alongside a quartet of interior colorways.
The exterior is available in 13 different paint colors and color combinations thanks to a Black Roof option.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at $129,990 for the entry-level Luxury 1 trim and ranges up a base MSRP of $150,490 for the range-topping Sport 2 trim, including a $1,995 destination freight charge. The online configurator for the model is currently live.
The Cadillac Escalade IQ is packed with a wide range of tech and luxurious features as befits its elite status in the Caddy lineup. Five-zone automatic climate control – named ClimateSense – is standard throughout the trim level walk, offering two individual climate control settings for the first two rows and a fifth for the third row. The Escalade IQ also offers the Radiant Package (RPO code PDV) for the Luxury trims and the Onyx Package (RPO code PDB) for the Sport trims.
Motivation is supplied by front and rear GM Ultium Drive motors providing AWD traction. The setup cranks out 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. A GM-estimated range of 450 miles with a fully-charged battery is present and accounted for.
Under the body panels, the Escalade IQ is supported by the GM BT1 platform, which additionally underpins the Silverado EV, Sierra EV, and Hummer EVs. Production of the model takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

I see the depreciation potential for this to be massive. It’s a $145,000 EV SUV that’s not particularly compelling to look at inside or out and with a corporate GM Ultium drivetrain. What is there about it to make it worth its asking price? There’s just no drama here. It doesn’t seem in any way special.
If it’s not special now, why would anyone want it five years from now after the battery has gone through many charge cycles and it’s no longer a novelty.
A CT5 Blackwing or C8 have much better resale potential in my opinion.
It’s almost as long as an extended wheel base version Escalade. The bigger the better.
I just can’t get on board because of how awful this thing looks it’s UGLY like a toyota why do most manufacturers think EV equals ugly? I understand that they don’t want it to look like your traditional automobile but man come on man the designers can design something more desirable than what they have been putting out 99% of auto manufacturers out there all have ugly and lackluster EVs this is a failure by GM and Cadillac it’s not as ugly as the cybertruck but it’s following in its footsteps pretty closely I blame toyota they got a lot of people thinking that ugly vehicles are the way to go WRONG
Still with the Hyundai/Kia vertical marker lights.
Yawnnnnn .
Overpriced. Overweight. Underwhelmed.
Watch the 2025 Acadrmy Awards prrsentstion. Many stars will arrive in this Escalade IQ at the “Red Carpet”.
