Titan Fuel Tanks Launches GMC Sierra 1500 Duramax 43-Gallon XXL Tank: Video

Titan Fuel Tanks has introduced a new XXL fuel tank for the GMC Sierra 1500, providing a big increase in fuel capacity for models equipped with the Duramax diesel engine. Titan Fuel Tanks unveiled the new XXL upgrade at the 2024 SEMA show in Las Vegas, unveiling a 43-gallon direct replacement tank that can hold an additional 19 gallons of go-juice compared to the stock 24-gallon tank. The new tank is compatible with 2019-and-newer model years for the light-duty GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Constructed from High-Density Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLHDPE) and using a tank thickness of at least a quarter of an inch, Titan says that its new XXL tank is built to last. The tank includes a black-coated, galvanized steel mounting strap and a front support system, while installation is a relatively straightforward bolt-in process, requiring no fabrication or cutting to get it into place.

The new XXL tank is also compatible with the factory sending unit, and can also support aftermarket options from Fleece, Airdog, Fass, and other brands. Additionally, Titan offers a Universal Pickup Tube and Return System, with the option to add a Transfer Pump Kit. This kit enables fuel transfer to other vehicles or equipment and comes with a universal mounting bracket for convenience, making it ideal for users in remote locations or those with heavy-duty fueling needs.

“With the Titan 43-Gallon tank, you have the power to stay on the road longer, tackle more ambitious projects, and explore farther than ever before,” Titan states.

“We could have added more capacity but did not want to interfere with off-road capabilities,” the company adds.

The new Titan tank fits Crew Cab / Short Bed and Standard Bed configurations for the GMC Sierra 1500, and is priced on Titan’s website at $1,369. Check out the Titan Fuel Tanks advertisement for the new tank below:

  1. If only they could come up with a larger gasoline tank solution for these trucks. 24gal for gas towing is a little short of what’s needed. Love to have a 35-ish model. GM missed on that one.

  2. Why is this news? I had one of these installed in my Sierra Denali a year ago.
