Teased Cadillac Lyriq-V Features Carbon Fiber Splitter

Cadillac’s highly anticipated Lyriq-V all-electric performance crossover is setting the stage with some rather assertive styling, complemented by a new carbon fiber splitter.

Back in May of 2023, GM Authority was the first to report that the Lyriq-V would offer two exclusive appearance packages: the Exterior Appearance Package and the Exterior Carbon Fiber Package. Now, recent teaser images confirm the presence of a carbon fiber splitter, giving the go-fast crossover a bolder, sportier stance.

A close examination of the recent teaser photos reveals intricate carbon fiber detailing for the lower splitter element mounted under the front bumper. Per previous GM Authority coverage, the Exterior Carbon Fiber Package also includes carbon fiber rocker inserts and carbon fiber rear fascia valance inserts. Meanwhile, the Exterior Appearance Package will offer similar components, but with a Gloss Black finish, including a new front splitter, rocker extensions, and rear fascia valance. Both packages will be exclusive to the Lyriq-V, and will not be available for either the Lyriq Luxury or Lyriq Sport.

Beyond the splitter, the latest teaser images show several other features that are unique to the new all-electric V-Series, including a new lower grille, body-colored front bumper, and body-color wheel arch moldings. New lower-door styling, unique wheel designs, and V-Series emblems on the calipers are seen in the profile. Around back, we see additional V-Series badging and a distinctive rear bumper. A matte paint finish may be offered as well.

Inside, the high-performance Lyriq will feature a V-Series-style steering wheel, complete with the V button and logo, further aligning the cabin with Cadillac’s performance sub-brand. The Lyriq-V also shows us a lowered stance, likely thanks to upgraded air suspension components, as GM Authority covered previously.

Though Cadillac has yet to confirm any performance specs, it’s believed that the Lyriq-V will feature the same powertrain as the forthcoming Blazer EV SS, which delivers 595 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque, all while riding on GM’s BEV3 platform.

The new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is scheduled for a full reveal early next year.

      1. If I recall correctly, the average age of a Lyriq buyer is in the mid-40s… those are some young grandmas…

          1. Actually, mid-40’s is a typical time to become a grandparent. Think about it, if you have a kid in your 20’s, and your kid has a kid at the same stage of life… so, John is spot-on.

    1. The average age to become a Grandma now is 50. That’s awfully close to the average Lyriq buyer being in their “mid-40s”. Certainly, a lot of overlap is you plotted the ages on a Venn diagram. I think calling it a Grandma’s car is more accurate than trying to portray a vehicle with an average buyer in their mid-40s as a young person’s car.
