Hot Wheels is about to open up the order books for a new limited-edition Red Line Club (RLC) 1969 Chevy C10 diecast car.
The Hot Wheels Red Line Club is a members-only group of Hot Wheels enthusiasts who have access to exclusive Hot Wheels items, priority access to sales, and a members-only forum on the Hot Wheels website. To buy the new Red Line Club 1969 Chevy C10 diecast, Hot Wheels fans must pay a $9.99 fee for a one-year Red Line Club membership. The diecast itself, meanwhile, costs $30 to pre-order and is available now via the Hot Wheels online shop.
“Our RLC exclusive pays homage to Chevy’s second-generation C-truck,” Hot Wheels says of its newest model. “The ‘C’ stands for ‘conventional’ two-wheel drive, but this icon goes far beyond that.”
A few details that make this model truck special include a Spectraflame finish on the body in a two-tone navy and white color scheme, silver Real Riders wheels, smoked windows, a “BLU UP” license plate, and an adjustable suspension system mimicking an aftermarket hydraulic suspension. You can choose a stock, street-worthy ride height or a slammed stance for the low-rider aesthetic.
The truck itself is a nod to the early days of car customization when lowering a vehicle was still illegal. To get around these laws, some smart custom car builders installed adjustable hydraulic suspension on their vehicles, allowing them to roll around at the vehicle’s regular ride height and drop it down to the ground when at a car meet or car show.
The box for this toy also has a classic aesthetic. It uses retro “Chevrolet” bowtie and lettering logos and a “C/10” logo that resembles the badging on the truck. The slipcase has the same blue and white color scheme as the truck, and there’s a clear inner blister that shows off the truck without exiting its packaging.
This Hot Wheels RLC Exclusive 1969 Chevy C10 will be available on November 5th, 2024, at 9:00 AM PT. It’s available exclusively to Red Line Club members with a limit of two per customer.
