The 2025 Chevy Colorado drops in as the third model year for the midsize pickup’s third generation, bringing with it a range of updates and changes over the preceding 2024 model year. Notable updates include higher pricing, more standard features, and deletion of the entry-level engine option. Now, GM Authority has learned when the online configurator tool for the 2025 Chevy Colorado will officially go live.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Chevrolet’s website will launch the official configurator tool for the 2025 Colorado on November 27th, 2024. Initially, customers will be unable to configure the mid-range LT trim, however, the LT will be added on December 16th, 2024.
Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Colorado begins at $33,495 for the base WT trim with 2WD. Starting prices for the other trims are as follows:
- Work Truck: $33,495
- LT: $37,395
- Trail Boss: $41,395
- Z71: $45,395
- ZR2: $51,195
- ZR2 Bison: $62,895
These prices reflect some substantial increases over the 2024 model year, with the WT up $1,350, the LT up $2,850, the Trail Boss up $2,500, the Z71 up $3,600, and the ZR2/Bison up $2,800.
The higher prices are paired with more standard features, including for Z71, Trail Boss, and ZR2 trims, as GM Authority covered previously. Also new for the 2025 model year are the Custom Package, Midnight Edition Package, and three fresh paint colors. The ZR2 also now features leather as the exclusive upholstery.
It was originally expected that the 2025 Chevy Colorado would drop the mid-range LT as a standalone trim level, instead offering the LT as an option package for the WT. However, Chevy later reversed course on these plans, and will once again offer the LT as a standalone trim for the 2025 model year.
Further changes include a streamlined powertrain lineup, with the 2025 Colorado dropping the entry-level 2.7L I4 L2R turbocharged engine. The Turbo High-Output 2.7L I4 L3B engine is now the exclusive option, delivering 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
Built on GM’s 31XX-2 platform, the 2025 Chevy Colorado continues production at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

8am 11/28/24 still not live for the 2025 Chevy Colorado or the 2025 GMC Canyon. And still no word on when the 25′ Canyon will start production or when the build and price page will go live.
HOW BAD DO YOU WANT TO SELL ANY 2025 COLORADOS?
It is very frustrating for both dealership & customers {me} as to when orders can be placed for the 2025 Colorado _ date pushed-promises made for Dec 2nd but no Chevy site possibilities yet ! I am all about the Orange won’t drive any other color –
Well I guess the prognosticators here are former MSNBC employees. How else can it be explained that we still cannot build out a ’25 Colorado WT Custom 4X4 in Orange with G80 rear end, spray-in liner and floor liner pkg? This is RIDIC!
GM Authority where’s the update on when the 2025 build and price page of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon will go live now that the stated date has pasted? Its been 6 days past the date.
Still waiting for the build and pice!!!!!!!!!
