Here’s The Wild Chevy Silverado Jake Paul Arrived In For Fight With Mike Tyson

Last Friday night, social media superstar Jake Paul made quite the entrance for his highly anticipated boxing match against the legendary Mike Tyson, arriving in a highly customized 1992 Chevy Silverado dually pickup. While more than 60 million households tuned in to watch the spectacle, the Chevy grabbed some attention of its own, showing off oodles of classic ‘90s-era lowrider style. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the slammed Chevy pickup that whisked Paul up to the ring.

Some GM Authority readers may recognize this truck. Nicknamed “Krew Kut,” the custom Chevy Silverado was previously restored by Gas Monkey Garage, and is owned by David Shulman of Lake Mary, Florida. Simply put, this pickup is a looker, and caught Shulman’s attention at the age of 19 after he flew out to California. Shulman ended up purchasing it after tracking it for years, and now enjoys it whenever he can – or, apparently, loans it out to Jake Paul for special occasions.

According to the owner, this Chevy Silverado is considered the first-ever “body drop dually,” with its floor cut and modified to lower the body over the frame. The effect brings the pickup closer to the ground, delivering an extreme slammed look.

The exterior is an explosion of ‘90s lowrider aesthetic, featuring a House of Kolor green paint base accented with blue and yellow flames, as well as intricate airbrushed skulls around the rear. Custom touches abound, including a Cadillac Escalade front clip, a bespoke bumper and grille, as well as custom side-view mirrors. The truck’s roof has been removed for a roadster-like appeal, while the rear fenders were raised to accommodate the wheels, and the rear end has been shaved for a smoother profile.

Under the hood, the Krew Kut mounts a Katech Performance 496 LSX V8 engine, which is paired with a 4L80E automatic transmission.

While the Jake Paul – Mike Tyson fight was definitely controversial, Paul’s decision to roll into the fight in this bespoke Chevy Silverado underscores his flair for the dramatic. Check it out for yourself right here:
