The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV introduces several updates, changes and new features for the vehicle’s second model year. The available lineup of Chevy Silverado EV colors has grown much larger compared to the palette offered for the 2024 Silverado EV.
Five new paint options have been added to the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV colors, while the two available on the 2024 model year – Black and Summit White – also carried forward to the 2025 truck, giving buyers the seven colors shown below to choose from:
The WT or Work Truck trim level gets just three of the available Chevy Silverado EV colors, while the mid-range LT and range-topping RST get six colors apiece. Offering a maximum of six colors for any given trim level may be a decision based on the new GM strategy, “Winning with Simplicity.”
Most of the Chevy Silverado EV colors on offer for 2025 are no-charge paint options that can be ordered at no additional cost. However, two are extra-charge, both of them blue hues – Riptide Blue Metallic (color code GJV) priced at $395, and Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic (color code GLG) costing $3,995 extra. Pricing and availability is shown in detail in the table below:
Paint Color | Color Code | Cost | WT | LT | RST |

Black | GBA | $0 | A | A | A |
Blue Smoke Metallic | GAI | $0 | - | A | - |
Habanero Orange | GAG | $0 | - | A | A |

The 2025 Silverado EV offers an expanded trim level walk, with the LT joining the lineup between the WT and the RST trims. The LT gets a wide range of tech goodies as standard features, including a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose premium audio, heated and ventilated 12-way power adjustable front seats, and much more. Release of the Silverado EV Trail Boss, originally scheduled for 2025, may be delayed until mid-year or even the 2026 model year.
Pricing starts at $57,095 for the 2WT trim with Standard Range battery and ranges up to $97,895 for the Max Range RST variant. The official online configurator for the all-electric pickup is currently live, but as of October 2024 is limited to LT and RST trim level builds. However, the WT should soon appear in the configurator as the variant is no longer limited to fleet or commercial sales.
The combination of GM battery technology and GM drive motor technology motivating the Silverado EV is configured to provide 4WD to all trim levels. Full-charge range is 422 miles for Extended Range battery packs and 492 miles for Max Range setups, while the LT develops a powerful 645 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque in Wide Open Watts mode.
For structure under the body panels, the Silverado EV makes use of the GM BT1 platform. Production is currently under way at the GM Factory Zero plant in Hamtramck, Michigan.

the only Matte color is what we used to call no sale blue back when such was used on Chevelles etc
Nobody bought it then? I guess at $4,000, it is a bit pricey, but if you are talking $100K for a Max Range RST or Sierra Denali, what is $4,000 more? An example I saw on line for the matte blue paint looked stunning.
