The automaker’s South American subsidiary officially revealed the first teaser image of the all-new, next-generation 2025 Chevy Equinox in Brazil, as part of a statement announcing the local introduction of 5G technology to OnStar services with the brand’s upcoming launch. As such, the new 2025 ICE Equinox will debut 5G connectivity in Chevy’s vehicle portfolio in the Brazilian market.

“The new OnStar 5G technology is one of the main highlights of Chevrolet’s next launch in Brazil, scheduled for this year. GM’s technology will allow for the expansion of functionalities and services in the vehicles, bringing even more connectivity and security,” said Director Connected Services of GM South America, Jaime Gil. “So much so that 5G is the basis for a future generation of software-managed vehicles and fully autonomous cars,” he added.

Although GM South America did not directly mention the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox as the brand’s next launch in Brazil, the main image of the 5G connectivity press release reveals part of the crossover’s cabin, hinting at the fourth-generation Equinox’s imminent debut in the country. Throughout this year, Brazilian media has captured prototypes of the 2025 Equinox circulating on the streets of Brazil.

Specifically, the first image of the 2025 Chevy Equinox revealed in Brazil shows distinctive details of the redesigned model’s interior design, including the digital driver instrument panel, the infotainment system display and the unique arrangement of the air vents and climate control module on the dashboard. We can also spot the RS trim level’s steering wheel-mounted emblem and dashboard red stitching.

The new ICE 2025 Chevy Equinox will launch imminently in the coming weeks in Brazil, which will become the first country in South America to receive the all-new Equinox. As the nameplate responsible for introducing OnStar 5G technology to the Brazilian market, the new 2025 Equinox will stand out for its increased level of connectivity, with internet speeds up to 100 times faster, as well as new AI-powered features and services.
