GM cleaned house in the NASCAR national series by winning all three manufacturer titles, and now, the automaker adds yet another trophy to its case from the other side of the world: the 2024 Australian Supercars manufacturer title.
Throughout the 2024 season, Chevy Camaro racers ended up in Victory Lane a total of 16 times, double that of its sole rival in the series, Ford. GM-backed Triple Eight Race Engineering stood head and shoulders above the competition, wrapping up the driver’s championship thanks to the talent of Will Brown in the No. 87 Camaro. His teammate, Broc Feeney in the No. 88 Camaro, was the runner-up in the points battle when the checkered flag waved at Adelaide just last weekend.
The Chevy drivers opened the season by bringing GM to the winner’s circle eight times in the first eight rounds at Bathurst, Melbourne, and New Zealand. Ford rallied back to win seven of the next 10 rounds, but they could not touch the Chevy teams in terms of points as the season wore on.
So far, GM is the undefeated Manufacturer Champion in the Gen3 era. As a reminder, the Gen3 race cars were first introduced for the 2023 Australian Supercars Championship season.
“From everyone here at GM we’d like to congratulate Will, Broc Feeney and the entire team at Red Bull Ampol Racing for a superb year behind the wheel of the Chevrolet Camaro,” Chevy Racing General Manager, Chris Payne, said in a statement. “This year’s championship has been hard fought, and to see the title go down to the last round in Adelaide was fantastic to watch, and a very popular win for Will.”
He added, “For Chevrolet to win the manufacturers’ title for a second consecutive year, in the new Gen3 era, is something we’re extremely proud of and would like to thank all the teams and our technical partners, in particular KRE Race Engines, for contributing to the success of the Camaro on track.”
While the Supercars Championship is currently a two-horse race between Chevy and Ford teams, Toyota will join the mix in 2026.

Your article, “GM Snags 2024 Supercars Championship Manufacturer Title”. Would’ve been better to identify the Camaros, racing in AUSTRAILIA and claiming a supercar GM championship, were right-hand drive (RHD) or retained US Camero left-hand steering configuration. And if they were RHD, who did the conversions?
Do you have this much ire for the Ford Mustang?
So, lets take one of GM’s most successful race car and dump it into oblivion……….Idiots!!!!!!!!!!
Another dead product from the General…..
