The holidays are coming, and with them, fresh holiday entertainment. That includes the upcoming action-comedy Red One, a new major motion picture set to hit theaters later this month. Trailers for Red One are out now, and interestingly, they include a glimpse of the Corvette Stingray C8.
Red One tells the story of an unlikely duo who must team up to rescue Santa Claus after he’s kidnapped. Callum Drift, the head of North Pole security, and Jack O’Malley, an infamous bounty hunter and hacker, join forces to track down old St. Nick, a.k.a. Red One, and save Christmas. The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Callum Drift, Chris Evans as Jack O’Malley, and J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan, best known for directing Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
In the trailer, we see Callum Drift and Jack O’Malley raiding a toy store, grabbing a few items off the shelves.
“Grab a car,” Drift says.
“For what?” O’Malley asks.
As Drift places the toy on the ground, we see him line up a wrist-mounted device and shoot some sort of ray at it. In an instant, the toy car is transformed into a full-size Corvette Stingray C8 painted in Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat paint (color code GPH), with red brake calipers.
A few seconds later, the Corvette burns rubber and takes off to save the day.
Check out the full trailer below. The Corvette Stingray C8 shows up at the one-minute, 25-second mark:
Naturally, the movie includes loads of holiday-themed gags, such as lumbering snowmen assassins and the spirit of krampus. There’s also an anthropomorphic polar bear named Agent Garcia, voiced by Reinaldo Faberlle. You can probably see where this is going. Other notable names on the cast list include Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju, and Wesley Kimmel.
Red One is set for a U.S. release on November 1th by Amazon MGM Studios.
Comments
Even a new red Corvette will not convince me to watch this.
This reminded me of Ant Man, who had a real Abrams tank on his keychain. Near the end, he expands it to escape a building.
I like it…….
