Just days after revealing the first teaser of the redesigned crossover in the country, General Motors has just officially announced the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox in Brazil.
The automaker’s South American subsidiary announced the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox as the last of the Bow Tie brand’s six launches this year in Brazil, following the fourth-generation Equinox’s introductions in China, the United States, and Canada. The new 2025 Equinox will soon arrive in the Brazilian market in its most equipped variants boasting the latest technological features.
“The New Equinox Turbo is Chevrolet’s latest launch of 2024 in Brazil,” revealed the President of GM South America, Santiago Chamorro. “Debuting in the RS and Activ versions, the all-new model features a more imposing design, advanced 5G connectivity and a powertrain evolution with the renowned 1.5 Turbo engine, delivering more power with energy efficiency,” he added.
Notably, Brazil becomes the first country in Latin America to officially announce the all-new ICE 2025 Chevy Equinox ahead of Mexico, where it is manufactured but not yet sold. Unlike the three trim level lineup launched in North America, the 2025 Equinox will come to the Brazilian market in the RS and Activ variants to position itself at the top of its segment.
In addition to debuting a more rugged design with a distinctive look for each version, both trims of the 2025 Chevy Equinox come standard with a full set of features that include the brand’s new infotainment system with OnStar and 5G connectivity, as well as the most advanced safety suite in its class. The model retains the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drivetrain.
The all-new ICE 2025 Chevy Equinox will make its official debut and go on sale in the coming days in Brazil, completing the brand’s launch schedule for this calendar year that included the 2025 Chevy Spin, the 2025 Chevy S10, the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV, the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV and the 2025 Chevy Equinox EV. Units of the 2025 Equinox will arrive in the country imported from the GM San Luis Potosà plant in Mexico.
