The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV comes with a host of updates. The most notable among them is the introduction of the mid-range LT trim and an extended maximum range of up to 492 miles. Another cool update is a new Gameday Tailgate Package (RPO PDH), which does exactly what its name implies.
The Gameday Tailgate Package bundles three features: the Multi-Flex Tailgate Audio System by Kicker (LPO SX), the Multi-Flex Tailgate Step Lights (LPO 63G), and a Truck Bed Organizer (LPO RSI). Pricing is forthcoming, but we know it’s available for the LT and RST trims. You can’t get it on a WT model because it requires the Multi-Flex Tailgate.
Interestingly, this option package is the only way to get the Kicker in-bed audio system – also available in the GMC Sierra EV and GMC Hummer EV Pickup – in a Chevy Silverado EV. It’s not available as a standalone option. However, the step lights ($325) and bed organizer ($295) are available à la carte.
The Gameday Tailgate Package is not available in conjunction with the Bed Utility Package (LPO PDE) or the Illumination Package (LPO PDG).
Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV starts at $57,095 for the WT trim, $75,195 for the LT, and $89,395 for the RST trim. Standard, Extended, and Max Range battery packs are all available with the WT trim; the LT comes exclusively with the Extended Range battery, and the RST can be had with Extended or Max Range battery capacities.
Another change for the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV is five new paint options: Blue Smoke Metallic (GAI), Habanero Metallic (GAG), Riptide Blue Metallic (GJV), Slate Gray Metallic (GNO), and Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic (GLG). Blue Smoke is exclusive to the LT trim, and Zephyr Blue Matte is only available on the RST.
The off-road-oriented Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss was slated to be a 2025 model, but now it appears it will either come mid-model year or we’ll be waiting till the 2026 model year. The Silverado EV Trail Boss was teased in a Super Bowl ad in 2023, shown off in a Chevrolet Canada Instagram post earlier this year, and we spotted one testing in Spring, but it’s not on the configurator yet.
Production of the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV is under way at the GM Factory Zero plant in Hamtramck, Michigan. The Silverado EV is motivated by GM battery technology and GM drive motor technology, while the GM BT1 platform provides its structure.
Plus, no payments for 90 days on heavy-duty pickup truck.
But still in the red.
