  • Black (color code GBA)
  • Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Red Hot (G7C)
  • Slate Grey Metallic (GNO)

A metallic, non-tintcoat color, Riptide Blue Metallic costs an extra $395 on the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500. It is offered on the Custom, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss and ZR2 trim levels, but is not available on the WT, Custom Trail Boss, LTZ or High Country trims.

Riptide Blue Metallic can be matched to all the interior colorways that can be selected for the trim levels for which it is available. For reference purposes, the interior colors offered for the Silverado 1500 are shown here (with multiple combinations added by being combined with bucket seats or bench seats, and various materials):

  • Jet Black
  • Gideon / Very Dark Atmosphere
  • Jet Black / Graystone
  • Jet Black / Nightshift Blue
  • Jet Black / Umber

Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 was revealed previously by GM Authority. The most affordable trim and configuration is the WT Regular Cab Standard Bed with rear-wheel drive, starting at $38,995. The priciest setup is the ZR2 Bison Crew Cab Short Bed 4WD motivated by the 6.2L V8 engine, with a base MSRP set at $78,590. Prices rose by $100 to $800 for most 2025 model year trims. Buyers can try out different builds using the official configurator.

Under the hood, the 2025 Chevy Silverado cradles four engine choices. These consist of the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine cranking out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine developing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax developing 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. Available drivetrains include rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.

Beneath the surface, the Silverado 1500 continues to make use of the GM T1 platform for structure. The GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, the GM Oshawa plant in Canada, and the GM Silao plant in Mexico are the trio of sites producing the popular truck model.

  1. I can barely stand this screaming blue on smallish vehicles and on this, it’s horrendous. How about some nice medium and dark blues and not screaming-at-you ones? Fountain Blue and Marina Blue are more of this same thing.

  2. I like it. Almost everything is black/white/gray/silver. And many of the colors are already dark and muted. It’s nice to see something bright again.

    1. And that explains why I see one about every month in this sickening color. Thought so.

      1. For the most part, we are in the era of automotive brutalist architecture. So many ugly, utilitarian vehicles (crossovers especially) in monochrome or very dark colors, along with the demise of the V8.

  3. This is almost exactly like Glacier Blue (and that is a good thing)!
Bring it to the Colorado now.

    1. I like the Glacier blue better than riptide blue. Riptide looks to much like baby blue.

  4. If GMC would have offered this color on the Sierra AT4 I would have bought one next year.

  5. To bad you can only get it on lower trim levels. No LTZ’s or High Country’s.
GM really screwed the pooch on 2025 Silverado colors.

Between their color pallets and cheap LTZ wheels, it’s the most common objections we face on a daily basis.

  6. Why is 3 different grays necessary? Need lighter colors that wont fade or peel . Or maybe just use better paint altogether.

  7. I would check the box on this one if GM would allow the 5.3 V8 in a shortbed. Z71, off course.

  8. I would love to see new colors that are distinctive yet subtle. Like the old Mocha Steel Metallic. Maybe a more muted steely blue, a true green/gray with more green than Cypress gray, a deeper aqua teal blue metallic, a deep purple/black metallic, a pretty taupe-y brown metallic and more.
