Almost simultaneously with the launch of the new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV in Brazil and its arrival in Ecuador, General Motors announced that the all-electric crossover has officially landed in Colombia.
The automaker confirmed the arrival of the first 2025 Chevy Equinox EV units to Colombia, which becomes the third country in South America where the zero-emission variant of Chevrolet’s compact crossover is introduced. In fact, GM’s Colombian subsidiary celebrated the arrival of the first batch of 2025 Equinox EV units for the local market as they disembarked a cargo ship at the Puerto BahÃa in the city of Cartagena.
“The Chevrolet Equinox EV represents the culmination of years of development in advanced technology, safety and efficiency,” Commercial Director of GM Colombia, Juliana López. “With this model, we are offering Colombians an SUV that not only respects the environment, but also meets the highest standards of quality and performance. We reaffirm our commitment to achieving a better future, aligned with the new slogan ‘Manejemos Juntos’ (Let’s Drive Together),” she added.
In particular, the new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV is the first all-electric model based on the latest GM electric vehicle architecture (previously called Ultium) to officially arrive in Colombia, strengthening and expanding the Bow Tie brand’s portfolio of zero-emission models in the country. Exactly as it happened in Brazil and Ecuador, the 2025 Equinox EV will be available in the Colombian market in a single well-equipped variant equivalent to the LT trim level, equipped with standard all-wheel drive.
This single 2025 Chevy Equinox EV configuration features a powertrain consisting of two GM drive motors that produce 300 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque, powered by a 10-module, 85 kWh GM battery pack. GM claims the package offers a total range of 653 km or 406 miles on a single charge, according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
The new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV will be launched in the coming weeks in Colombia and interested customers can already reserve a unit on the brand’s official website in that country, where it has a suggested price of 194,990,000 pesos (about $44,090 USD at the current exchange rate). The 2025 Equinox EV units are arriving to the Colombian market imported from the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
