2025 Cadillac Escalade Gets Revised Fuel Economy Ratings

EPA fuel efficiency ratings are now available for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade. revealing that the refreshed luxury SUV has slightly revised fuel economy compared to the outgoing 2024 Cadillac Escalade.

These fuel economy ratings show improvement despite the fact Cadillac didn’t announce any mechanical or aerodynamic changes for the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade – though the exterior styling has been revised for the new model year.

Looking to the specifics, the rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration of the 2025 Escalade gets 1 additional mile per gallon in city driving (up to 15 miles per gallon instead of 14 mpg) and 1 extra mile per gallon combined (17 mpg rather than 16 mpg). For four-wheel drive (4WD) Cadillac Escalade SUVs, fuel economy is unchanged between 2024 and 2025.

For the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V and its AWD drivetrain, however, city and combined fuel economy remains unchanged. But the model does manage to get 1 mile per gallon more during highway driving, according to the EPA’s latest estimates, bringing this figure to 17 miles per gallon.

The 2025 Escalade’s fuel economy figures include only gasoline engine estimates, since the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine was dropped from the powerplant lineup because only five percent of the SUVs were ordered with that option. You can check out fuel economy in the table below:

Meanwhile, the mid-cycle refresh gives the Escalade new lighting signatures inspired by the all-electric Escalade IQ. The cockpit headlines an enormous 55-inch pillar-to-pillar digital display, consisting of a 35-inch driver readout and a 20-inch front passenger display. The GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system is standard, while other new tech goodies are also included.

Pricing starts for the entry-level Luxury trim at $89,590 for 2WD or $92,590 for 4WD. At the top end, the Sport Platinum equipped with 2WD has a starting MSRP of $118,890, while being priced at $121,890 if configured with 4WD. 2. WOW, 26,000 extra to get a Sport Platinum above the next model and 53,000 to get the V. GM and Berra have lost their marbles, show me the value in such outlandish prices. Neither of these will be worth half that after 3 short years.

    1. Back in 2010 the Escalade Luxury was around $74….Platinum was around $95, so this is nothing new

  3. Dropping the DuraMax was a mistake. GM did not properly market it. My 2025 Escalade ESV with duramax gets 25 mpg city and 33 mpg hwy, these are real world results. The 2021 Suburban with same engine I traded got same mileage.

  4. I loved my 2022 Sport Platinum ESV Diesel…by far the best luxury fuel efficient SUV for families on the market now I want the new tech escalades but with diesel. Dropping the Duramax WAS a mistake. I know the IQ and IQL are replacing for efficiency but it’ll be another year for the IQL and I need the trunk space now. They even dropped it on the yukons. Smh
