The 2025 Cadillac Escalade introduces a mid-cycle refresh with a variety of changes compared to the 2024 model year, including revised front end. One of the details of the new look is a redesigned side marker light and reflector, which can be found on the outer edge of the front fender. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the new design with the following Feature Spotlight.
A comparison of the new side marker and reflector (pictured on the left) with the old side marker and reflector (pictured on the right) can be seen above. For the 2025 model year, the side marker light appears larger and more prominent, with a new shape that enhances its visual presence on the fender. The light’s framing is more pronounced, featuring a sleeker, more integrated look that aligns with Cadillac’s evolving design language and can also be seen in the Escalade IQ and Celestiq. This small adjustment not only modernizes the Escalade’s look, but also improves visibility, adding both style and function to the refreshed design.
Beyond the side marker changes, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade adopts several other exterior and interior enhancements. The front end receives a styling overhaul that echoes the design of the Escalade IQ and Celestiq, showcasing thin upper lighting signatures and vertical lighting along the outer edges of the front fascia. Inside, the 2025 Escalade impresses with a vast 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display that spans the dashboard, once again inspired by the Escalade IQ and Celestiq. GM Super Cruise is now standard across the lineup, providing advanced hands-free driving capabilities, while an available Executive Second Row package enhances rear passenger comfort with premium seating and additional amenities.
Under the hood, the standard 2025 Escalade retains the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, while the Escalade-V is equipped with the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. As GM Authority covered previously, Cadillac has discontinued the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine for the 2025 model year.
Pricing for the 2025 Escalade starts at $89,590 for the 2WD Luxury trim, ranging up to $161,990 for the high-performance Escalade-V. All variants are built on GM’s T1 platform and are manufactured at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Bring back the diesel
More like GM updated the parts bin and all 3 big body SUVs had to ditch the old side marker light.
Dropping the diesel was a mistake, my 2024 gets 25 in town, 33 highway, that was mileage on way home from dealer when I picked up with 12 miles on it, wait til it loosens up. They did not market that engine correctly.
The design looks better but why do they keep making them with little cheap incandescent bulbs rather than LEDs? For a $130,000 vehicle? Come on Cadillac, it’s 2025. LEDs stopped being expensive 10 years ago!
Who idea was it to get rid of the diesel smh incredible!!!
