The 2025 Cadillac Escalade debuts a mid-cycle update complete with new exterior styling, an overhauled cabin, and a long list of technology updates. Interestingly, the updates also include new suspension improvements. Critically, the suspension tweaks coincide with all-new wheel sizing options.
According to Cadillac, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade received “new hardware and tuning” for the coil spring / Magnetic Ride Control suspension. In addition, the full-size SUV also received “unique tuning” for the new, larger wheel options.
The updates are similar to those applied to the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban, both of which also received suspension improvements for the latest 2025-model-year update. During a first-person driving review, GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft remarked that “The ride quality and handling ability [in the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban] are noticeably improved, with the SUVs feeling more planted and a smoother ride over rough surfaces.” Check out our previous coverage for more information.
As for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade specifically, the updated luxury icon is now available with new 24-inch wheel designs, the largest wheel diameter ever offered for the nameplate. The 2025 Escalade rides on 22-inch wheels as standard.
Further updates include a revised fascia, where the 2025 Escalade adopts styling that takes after the Cadillac Escalade IQ with prominent vertical lighting in the flanks of the fascia and thin upper lighting signatures just under the hood line.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade presents a massive 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display, a feature once again taken from the all-electric Escalade IQ. Other standout features include the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system, 5G connectivity, and an AKG Studio audio system.
Under the hood, the 2025 Escalade is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, while the Escalade-V runs the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine is no longer available following the launch of the refreshed 2025 model year, as GM Authority explained previously.
