Unique C8 Corvette Z06 Mods Give Off Batmobile (Or Bumblebee?) Vibes

Between the widebody stance and sharp body lines, the C8 Corvette Z06 is a striking piece of design. Add in a few new aero pieces, and the look is elevated to another level. Now, one C8 Z06 owner is taking things even further with an eye-catching new wrap that lends the mid-engine sports car some serious Batmobile vibes.

Recently posted online by LeShawn Lewis, this C8 Corvette Z06 is decked out with a variety of modifications, starting with a custom wrap that matches black and yellow to enhance the factory lines with some serious head-turning ability. The black wrap forms a forward-pointing arrow down the front end, with the side tips of the arrow leading the eye towards the sharp headlight housings. The black wrap was also applied to the front fascia, expanding the large frontal air intake with complementary black coloring.

Moving down the exterior, we see the black wrap applied to the roof and pillars, as well as in the flanks down the doors. Subtle red detailing was added to the side intake trim and along the side skirts, while more black wrap is seen in the rear fenders. The taillight housings were tinted black, adding to the look.

Viewed from behind, the black wrap terminates around the rear fascia in a series of pinched lines and sharp angles.

In addition to the custom wrap, this custom C8 Corvette Z06 is also equipped with a ZR1-style rear wing and front splitter, while the auditory punch is enhanced with new downpipes and a titanium exhaust system.

“I think I’m starting to like my Z06 more than my McLaren 720S,” the owner writes.

As for the mechanical bits, the C8 Corvette Z06 is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, which is rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, propelling the mid-engine sports car from 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. All C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.
