The 2025 Cadillac CT5, which debuts a belated mid-cycle refresh of the luxury sedan model, has been offered up to this point with nine available exterior colors. However, GM Authority has learned that one of these, Wave Metallic (color code GKK), is now unavailable to order through the end of the model year.
Wave Metallic, which has been offered since the CT5 sedan’s launch, will additionally be built out on the 2025 Cadillac CT5 starting with the week of December 2nd, 2024, when the final units finished in this paint color will be produced.
Available on both trim levels of the 2025 Cadillac CT5, including the Premium Luxury and Sport, Wave Metallic is an extra-charge color with a price tag of $625. However, it is not offered with the sedan’s high-performance configurations, including the Cadillac CT5-V and the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
Whether or not the Wave Metallic color will return to availability in the color palette of the 2026 Cadillac CT5 or whether it has been permanently retired from the model’s paint lineup is unclear at this point. However, unlike the smaller Cadillac CT4, the CT5 is almost certain to have a 2026 model year regardless of whether a different color replaces Wave Metallic.
The refresh retired the CT5 Luxury trim level, leaving the Premium Luxury trim as the entry-level choice. The RWD variant of the Premium Luxury has a starting price of $48,990, with cost ranging up to a base $51,990 for the AWD Sport trim. These prices include a destination freight charge set at $1,395. The online configurator is available to potential customers.
Motivation for the 2025 CT5 is provided by a choice of two different engines. The standard powerplant is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while optional is the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission to provide cog swaps.
The CT5 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production of the model takes places at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

That pic is a CT5…not a CT4.
