First introduced at the launch of the luxury sedan with the 2020 model year, Wave Metallic (color code GKK) has been available for every Cadillac CT4 model since. Now, GM Authority has learned, the exterior paint color is no longer available to order on the 2025 Cadillac CT4.
Not only will Wave Metallic be unavailable to order for the rest of the 2025 Cadillac CT4 model year, but the paint color will be built out as of the week of December 2nd, 2024, meaning no further units with the exterior tint will be produced after that date.
Wave Metallic is a blue color that is one of the nine paints available on the 2025 Cadillac CT4. It is offered as an extra-charge option priced at $625 that can be selected for the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trims. However, it cannot be chosen on the Cadillac CT4-V or Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing variants after being retired following the 2023 model year.
At this point, it’s unclear if the Wave Metallic color will return for the 2026 model year of the sedan or whether it has been discontinued and will be indirectly replaced by a different color. In fact, the existence of a 2026 CT4 remains in doubt currently, with the 2025 model year potentially being the last.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac CT4 starts at $36,390 for the Premium trim with RWD and $38,390 for AWD, while the high-end Sport carries a starting MSRP of $42,490 for rear-wheel and $44,490 for all-wheel drive. These prices include the destination freight charge of $1,395, while the official configurator is live.
Two engine options provide motivation, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine providing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine developing 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
Beath the sheet metal, the 2025 CT4 is underpinned by the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production of the vehicle takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
