The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing offers several options when it comes to upgrading the performance and the styling, with some of the more notable options including the Precision Package and the limited-run Le Monstre Edition. Naturally, some buyers will want to combine these two optional extras. The question is – will Cadillac allow customers to combine the Precision Package and Le Monstre Edition on the same 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing?
During a recent interview with Cadillac Executive Chief Engineer Brandon Vivian, GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft asked exactly that. According to Vivian, the Precision Package can be combined with the Le Monstre Special Edition upgrade on the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
For those readers who may be unaware, the Precision Package was recently added to the CT5-V Blackwing options list in conjunction with the 2025 model year. Opting for this package trows in increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, and revised suspension bushings, as well as new steering knuckles and new rear toe links. The new components help to dial in a more aggressive track setup when desired, while the MagneRide dampers, steering system, chassis control, and Electronic Limited Slip Differential were recalibrated for more performance, as well.
Meanwhile, the Le Monstre Edition was also added to the options list for 2025, giving a nod to the 1950 Cadillac Le Mans race car that competed under the same name. The Le Monstre Edition includes exclusive Magnus Metal Front paint, a Stormhawk Blue carbon fiber package, Royal Blue brake calipers, and racing decals, plus Santorini accents and blue seat belts, laser-etched door sill plates, and a 3D-printed manual transmission shifter medallion. Only 101 units will be produced.
As for what’s lurking under the hood, every unit of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing features the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which is rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Under the skin, the Cadillac CT5 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant.

Great Tech, great performance, terrible appearance….of all divisions, Cadillac can’t come up with a better looking car? Just don’t get it!
I agree with Mark. I own a 2022 ZL1 Camaro and love the car for now. But when I get older and can’t easily get out of the Camaro I was looking at a Blackwing. I too would appreciate some more eye catching design.
Same chassis, underpinnings both vehicle.
TECHNICALLY, they do not. The Camaro died while using the Alpha I platform. Had the next generation Camaro forged ahead it WOULD have used the same Alpha II platform as the two Cadillac sedans.
