A special new collectible for Hot Wheels Red Line Club members is coming this week. It’s a classic 1969 Chevy Camaro SS with a showy pink paint job and a muscular, supercharged V8 under the hood. According to the description from Hot Wheels, this Camaro model “commands attention with hot pink Spectraflame paint, in honor of its connection to the 2024 Hot Wheels Convention in Los Angeles.”
This special-edition 1969 Chevy Camaro SS brings a Pro Touring approach to the classic nameplate, mixing new and old with a 1:64 scale design that incorporates impressive details front to back. Highlight features include a full-metal-based Zamac body with a Spectraflame pink finish and a white top.
Authentic manufacturer logos are used throughout, while in the corners, a set of silver-painted Real Riders five-spoke wheels shows off a polished finish. Light smoke-tinted windows and a white interior round it out.
Lift the hood, and you’ll find a fully detailed supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine model. A popular engine swap for Pro Touring Chevys, the LT4 is the same powerplant found in vehicles like the C7-generation Corvette Z06, the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro ZL1, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, and the Cadillac Escalade-V, among others. When cradled by the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro ZL1, output is measured at 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
The model also includes an illustrated blister card and Kar Keepers clamshell case.
If you managed to snatch up this blue 1969 Chevy Camaro SS Hot Wheels model from last year, this pink model would be a perfect companion. They have a lot in common, namely the detailed LT4 under the hood, but have very different color schemes giving them different personalities.
According to Mattel’s website, this model will be offered exclusively for members of the Red Line Club and is priced at $25 per unit. Purchases are limited to two units per club membership. The Chevy Camaro model is set to launch tomorrow, October 8th, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT.
