Here Are The Rarest Cadillac CT6-V Colors

Although the U.S.-spec Cadillac CT6 was only produced between the 2016 and 2020 model years, production of the go-fast Cadillac CT6-V variant was even shorter, spanning the 2019 and 2020 model years. Earlier this month, GM Authority covered exactly how many units of the CT6-V were produced, so check out that article for more information. Now, we’re back at it with additional insights, this time with an exclusive break down of the Cadillac CT6-V colors options and the number of examples of each.

To keep things simple, we’re breaking down the CT6-V exterior paint colors by the 2019 and 2020 model years.

Let’s start with 2019, where we find the most popular Cadillac CT6-V color to be the Black Raven (color code GBA). Nearly half of all 2019 Cadillac CT6-V units are covered in Black Raven paint at 45.2 percent, or 228 units total. Meanwhile, Manhattan Noir Metallic (paint code GCI was the second most popular color choice for the model year at 23.2 percent, or 117 units, followed by Crystal White Tricoat (paint code G1W) at 18.1 percent, or 91 units. Satin Steel Metallic is second to last at 8.5 percent, or 43 units, while Red Horizon Tintcoat (paint code G9K) is the most rare option at 5 percent, or just 25 units.

2019 Cadillac CT6-V Exterior Paint Colors:

  • Black Raven (GBA): 45.2% (228 units)
  • Manhattan Noir Metallic (GCI): 23.2% (117)

  • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K): 8.5% (43)
  • Red Horizon Tintcoat (GPJ): 5% (25)

Moving on to 2020, the most popular color choice was once again Black Raven at 49.1 percent, or roughly 202 units, followed Crystal White Tricoat at 21.9 percent, or 86 units. Manhattan Noir Metallic was third at 14.4 percent, or 59 units, followed by Satin Steel Metallic with 9 percent, or 37 units. Red Horizon Tintcoat was once again the least popular paint option for the 2020 model year at 5.6 percent, or 23 units.

2020 Cadillac CT6-V Exterior Paint Colors:

  • Black Raven (GBA): 49.1% (202 units)
  • Crystal White Tricoat (G1W): 21.9% (86)
  • Manhattan Noir Metallic (GCI): 14.4% (59)
  • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K): 9% (37)
  • Red Horizon Tintcoat (GPJ): 5.6% (23)

As a reminder, the Cadillac CT6-V was equipped with the twin-turbocharged 4.2L V8 LTA gasoline engine, otherwise known as the Cadillac Blackwing engine, while the Omega platform provided the underpinnings. Vehicle production took place at the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant, now known as GM Factory Zero.

  1. I’ve had 3 black cars for all but 9 of the last 36 years, with nothing but a carport to protect them from pollen and cat feet. Please kill me before I buy another.
I’m in the market for a more recent Cadillac than my 2008 DTS, and about 90% have black interiors.

  2. My friend and I both bought a CT6-V in red horizon tintcoat. We don’t like black – looks and feels like a hearst and hard to keep clean; and white makes it look like a car ready to pick up newly weds. We both just wish we could have ordered them without sunroofs since at speeds above 200 km/h they are very noisy even when shut.

  3. What about the 4.2 Platinum’s?

  4. The CT6 was one of the most elegant Cadillacs GM has built in years. Comfort, Power, great looking car! They charged the price for it but it was one of those cars that said Oh yeah this is a Caddy! You know what GM does: they halt production and build EV’s at the plant now. The EV Hummer is even more money than the CT6! How is that working out? Another Genius move by the Upper management of General Motors!

  7. Just as I was about 75, I thought, OK, we have worked hard and saved our money, it’s time for the Caddy sedan. So, I was putting a CT6 together on the website when they cancelled it. They also dumped our nearest dealer. And if I want to deal with the one remaining dealer in range, who prices as though he understands monopoly, what do they offer? The CT 5. Imagine that, a Cadillac sedan with a cramped rear seat. OH yes, I can also have an SUV in Caddy trim. It’s just not the same.
