Ushering in only modest updates for the seventh model year of the pickup’s fourth generation, the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 loses two exterior colors without adding any new ones. Turning to the cockpit, a wide variety of GMC Sierra 1500 interior colorways are on offer for the model year. GM Authority is looking closer at the details here.
Overall, a total of fifteen GMC Sierra 1500 interior colorways are on offer for 2025. These colors are distributed across the truck’s eight trim levels, including the Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, Denali, AT4X and Denali Ultimate trims, with only a few overlaps in availability. Most colorways are based on Jet Black, either alone or in combination with accent colors.
The 2025Â GMC Sierra 1500 interior offers seats with various upholstery materials, including vinyl, cloth, leather, perforated leather and full-grain perforated leather. Lower trim levels tend toward vinyl or cloth upholstery. Seating configuration includes bench seats with a 40/20/40 split or bucket seats depending on trim level and option choices.

The 2025 Sierra 1500 features prices that start at an MSRP of $40,295 for the Pro trim level equipped with the Regular Cab / Standard Box configuration, the turbocharged L3B gasoline engine, and rear-wheel drive. The pickup’s starting cost ranges up to $89,790 for a Crew Cab / Short Box variant of the AT4X AEV Edition motivated by the atmospheric L87 V8 engine and featuring 4WD. The official configurator enables potential buyers to try out various builds of the vehicle.
Power is supplied to the Sierra 1500 by one of four engines, including three gasoline powerplants and one diesel choice. Gas engines include the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax engine developing 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine cranking out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine providing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The single diesel option, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, is rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.
Available drivetrains include rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD). The GM T1 platform continues to provide the bones for the pickup model. Production is under way at two General Motors plants, namely the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

How in the world does someone afford these trucks at these prices? Then if you do manage to buy one how in the hell do you afford the auto insurance? Middle class folks are just priced out of the truck market and nobody seems to care. Tried to buy a 2024 LTZ yesterday. Offered me $5500-$6000 for my 2014 GMC SLE with 210,000 miles. The pymt was anywhere from $700-$850 a month. My insurance was going from $152 mo to $302 a month. Then at policy renewal time in December it would probably go up to $350 monthly. Can people really afford this? We’ll I cant!
$302 a month for insurance? A month? I pay like 350 every 6 months. For 2024 Silverado 1500 LT, with some upper options like bucket seats and center console.

I think the price of a new truck has a lot to do with the price of a GM EV. If EVs were sold at a price so as to be profitable, big trucks would be cheaper; perhaps a lot cheaper. My assessment is that GM is making huge sums of money off of big trucks, their ancient panel vans, and big SUVs and then promptly losing most of it on unprofitable electric products essentially mandated by the government.
Come on GMC. Enough with these all black interiors. How about come in the 21 century. You can do better. Change from black all the time!!!
