The 2025 Buick Envision arrives as the model year following the 2024 crossover’s mid-cycle refresh, and as a result, debuts only minor updates to the vehicle, among which are a few changes to the Buick Envision colors.
One color, the Cinnabar Metallic (color code GEJ) exterior paint option, was eliminated from the palette of 2025Â Buick Envision colors, while a brand new paint, the Brilliant Red (color code GES) hue, serves as an indirect replacement for the outgoing color.
A total of seven Buick Envision colors are offered for the 2025 model year. One of these, Calypso Blue Metallic (color code GZC) is offered only the Avenir trim and is not available on the entry-level Preferred trim or the mid-range Sport Touring. Meanwhile, Summit White (color code GAZ) is the zero-charge option for the Preferred and Sport Touring, and is unavailable on the Avenir.
The other five 2025 Buick Envision Preferred and ST colors are extra-charge choices, four of which are priced at $495. The fifth, White Frost Tricoat (color code GE8) or Iridescent White Tricoat (color code GEP), is priced at $1,095 for the two lower trim levels and at $600 for the Avenir. The following table summarizes availability and cost for the Buick Envision colors:

Looking past the Buick Envision colors, the crossover’s post-refresh exterior incorporates new Buick Wildcat EV concept styling cues. For the interior, the cockpit is centered on an all-new 30-inch diagonal infotainment and control screen. Standard safety tech now includes Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicycle Braking, and Rear Cross Traffic Braking.
Pricing, as previously uncovered by GM Authority, starts at a base MSRP of $37,895 for the Preferred trim level, while the most expensive trim, the Avenir, has a starting price of $47,595. The model’s destination freight charge of $1,395 is included in these figures. The official configurator for the model is currently live as well.
Under the hood, the 2025 Envision cradles one engine, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The GM nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels, while all three trim levels feature a standard all-wheel drivetrain.
The Envision continues to ride on the GM E2 platform, while production is currently under way at the GM-SAIC Jinqiao Plant in China.

Those upcharges are still absurd, except for the Tricoat one. I wasn’t aware that Stellantis also does this by requiring upcharges on all colors, save basic white, also like GMC does. And you know what kind of criticism Stellantis has gotten lately, unless you live under a rock.
Once one manufacturer started charging for colors other than plain white or plain black, they ALL jumped on the bandwagon.
That new Buick front fascia design just doesn’t do it for me, nor do those directional alloy wheels.
I like the Smokey amethyst color but why an extra $495? Why do we have to pay for a color that you offer? Never ever used to pay extra. I wish there was a light green or a teal color. So sick of red, white, black, silver, grey….boring!
