Confirming what was already strongly suspected, General Motors verified that the all-electric Cadillac Vistiq three-row crossover will be produced at the GM Spring Hill plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee in its Q3 2024 sales press release.
GM notes that production of the Cadillac Vistiq is expected to kick off early next year at the Spring Hill site, and points that with the Vistiq’s launch alongside that of the Cadillac Optiq and Cadillac Escalade IQ, the brand “will have an all-electric model in every global luxury SUV segment.”
Notable, Spring Hill already produces two EV models, the Cadillac Lyriq and the Acura ZDX, along with several ICE vehicles, specifically the Cadillac XT5 and Cadillac XT6 crossovers. Spring Hill is one of The General’s “flexible” plants, similar to the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. These facilities are capable of building EV and ICE vehicles on the same line, and can adjust the proportions of production between the types to meet demand.
Furthermore, the Ultium Cells Spring Hill plant is now operational as well. This manufacturing site for Ultium battery cells provides the Spring Hill assembly plant with the components needed to manufacture the battery modules that provide power to the Cadillac Vistiq. Production of the cells kicked off in March 2024, and the facility will continue providing cells for the Lyriq, Acura ZDX and other models also.
As a reminder, GM pulled the sheets on the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq in December 2023, revealing that the model is slotted between the Cadillac Lyriq and the Cadillac Escalade IQ. The Vistiq’s 600E4 badge indicates it is probably to be configured with an Ultium Drive two-motor drivetrain developing somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.
Other likely features for the three-row crossover include either optional or standard rear-wheel steering, a curved 33-inch digital display headlining the cockpit, an initial Y-level trim level walk of two trims – Luxury and Sport – with a Tech trim likely following later, and of course a full assortment of the latest convenience and safety technology.
The Vistiq will ride on the Long variant of the GM BEV3 platform and will likely be equipped as standard with 22-inch or 23-inch wheels.

I’m sure that Spring Hill is just doing cartwheels over building all these EVs that no one wants. At least they have jobs, sort of.
Like it or not the Lyriq sells very well. Second best seller behind Escalade.
Well, the bar is fairly low…
Yeah and its no lie. I took my XT5 in to replace one of the tailights (it was under warranty and I discovered condensate building up inside the housing) and a Lyriq came in behind me for a software update. I chatted up the guy about it and he loves it. He is a first time GM owner (new to the brand) and said it was an amazing car. The only issues he had were resolved with software updates which he came in for half an hour and was off home. Then they gave me one for a day as a loaner. Fantastic car and I fail to see why anyone would take a bland Tesla over one of these other than the supercharger network which I would caution to use sparingly if you want to maximize your battery life. Just not quite ready for electric. But I am always a late adapter.
Do you speak for everyone ?
The petroleum industry bunk on FOX knows how to slander.
They are all over my high end suburb .
All of this hate, is always put on new technology.
Like those on horses who said , cars wouldn’t last .
EV , and hybrid are here , and staying.
I see Lyriq nearly every weak now.
Sometimes typos are inadvertent laser-guided missiles of truth. Bravo, sir.
If GM were to move production of the Buick Envision from China to the U.S., which plant would be the most likely to produce it?
Fairfax
we need to know specs like CARGO SPACE please. need to compare when downsizing from Suburbans…….
Like the looks. Would buy if it were ICE. No EV for me.
I remember when Spring Hill was being built for a new kind of car, by a new kind of car company. There was a good bit of excitement over it.
Turns out it could not sustain itself as a rebel inside the giant, sloth-like corporation that was GM.
Funny how history repeats itself.
The Cadillac Lyriq is selling well, not in record numbers but way better than last year, so there will be customers that will express interest in this particular model if they cannot afford the Escalade or Escalade IQ
Hey I’m just happy to see more models being built in the USA. It seems like an excellent plant that has the versatility to build different models according to sales. I wish them success.
Am I the only one who thinks this whole stacked rear and front lighting is a terrible idea? How long do these bulbs last? I’m seeing a ton of these fancy lights on other brands dead and then I look to see how expensive and difficult to replace. Most of these cars you’re taking half the damn car apart. That Hyundai sonata light that goes onto the hood cost over $700. I saw someone saying the dealer wanted 2k
They are LEDs they can last between 50k to 100k hours of constant use.
Hate to break it to you, but BULBS are going away (if not already gone). What you’re looking at is LED’s and you can’t replace them. The entire lamp has to be replaced and programmed.
Every one of these Cadillac EVs look like they’re doing the “Carolina Squat”. Change my mind.
