If you know anything about boxing, or you’re just really into grilling, then the name George Foreman should ring a bell. Recognized as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time, Foreman is nothing short of a bonafide sports legend. Now, the two-time world champion’s supercharged 2004 Chevy Impala SS up for grabs in a new online auction, offering up a prime opportunity for collectors.
This unique Chevy Impala SS stands out for a number of different reasons, starting with the low mileage, showing just 1,015 original miles on the clock. Motivation is sourced from the supercharged 3.8L V6 engine 3800 Series II gasoline engine, which is topped by an Eaton generation III M90 supercharger to deliver 240 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed to the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. This Impala was also equipped with a dual Magnaflow exhaust system, enhancing the sound and adding a few ponies along the way.
One of the big highlights of this Chevy Impala is the custom exterior, styled by Carlini Design. The two-tone black and red metallic paint job include detailed airbrush work, as well as shaved door handles, LED taillight strips, and unique headlight lens covers. To complete the sporty aesthetic, this Impala rides on custom Carlini Design wheels fitted with Sumitomo HTRZ tires.
Inside, the Chevy Impala maintains the factory medium gray leather, plus SS embroidery on the door panels. Foreman’s Impala also includes a suite of luxury and comfort features like six-way adjustable heated seats, a sunroof, and dual-zone air conditioning. Entertainment isn’t overlooked either, with a custom sound system featuring a JL Audio amplifier, subwoofer, and an Alpine multimedia display with DVD and CD functionality providing a high-quality in-car experience.
While the car is in impressive condition, the listing does outline a few minor imperfections, such as small dents and a few paint chips. Interestingly, Foreman logged just 624 miles during his ownership, and the vehicle was primarily stored in Texas before a recent transfer of ownership to a California resident in early 2024.
Now, this Chevy Impala is listed in a no-reserve auction, with the current highest bid as of this writing (10/29/2024) set at $5,000.
