With its new truck-inspired styling, expanded dimensions, and thorough update, the all-new third-generation Chevy Traverse, now represented by both the 2024 Traverse and 2025 Traverse, is becoming one of the Bow Tie’s more successful and popular models.
Fresh proof of this arrived with the Q3 2024 GM Investor Day presentation, when General Motors President Mark Reuss revealed fresh details about sales of the Chevy Traverse.
During the presentation, Reuss stated that the third-gen Chevy Traverse is currently selling at a new-vehicle average transaction price (ATP) of $46,700. According to him, this price is $5,000 above the segment average, with the segment in question presumably being three-row midsize crossover utility vehicles (CUVs).
Furthermore, the Chevy Traverse boosted its segment market share by 7 percent after its second month on sale. These statistics revealed by Mark Reuss indicate one thing clearly: the new Traverse is more profitable for Chevrolet and thus GM. The major overhaul The General gave to the nameplate, appealing to the male consumer demographic with more rugged truck-inspired looks and a Z71 trim level, appears to have paid off.
Looking at 2025 Chevy Traverse pricing, the new-vehicle ATP of $46,700 Mark Reuss pointed out falls between the pricing for the entry-level LT trim and the off-road focused Z71 trim level. Starting MSRP for the LT configured with FWD is $41,995, while the AWD variant is priced at $43,995. The Z71, meanwhile, carries a base MSRP of $48,995, while pricing for the higher trim levels ranges up to $58,795 for the AWD RS trim.
The cited average transaction price suggests that while the LT trim likely represents the biggest chunk of sales, higher trim levels also probably feature strongly in the overall trim level sales mix. This again indicates the popularity of the freshly revamped Chevy Traverse, and helps the model’s profitability, with margins usually higher on mid to upper level trims.
As a reminder, the Chevy Traverse High Country returns for the 2025 model year though, interestingly, it slots into the trim level walk below the RS trim. All trims continue to be motivated by one shared engine, the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque per GM estimates.
Beneath the sheet metal, the Traverse is underpinned by the GM C1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

I am a Yukon driver but if I decided to only tow with with my Sierra I’d strongly consider one. Sat in one at a dealership and was thoroughly impressed. I’d even take one over a 4Runner.
The repo men are circling Chevy dealerships.
