Chevy Aveo Pushes Through Traffic, Seems Confused With Life: Video

Do you ever see someone do something utterly crazy and wonder, “Just what were they possibly thinking?” That was our reaction from this recent viral video in which a red Chevy Aveo sedan is seen performing one of the most perplexing traffic maneuvers we’ve come across in a while.

The video was captured on a dash cam, and is about a minute long. However, that’s more than enough time for this Aveo driver to cause several very nasty collisions as they push their sedan perpendicularly through a busy multi-lane road.

A Chevy Aveo pushes perpendicularly through traffic.

The scene unfolds on a congested road with several rows of stopped cars waiting at a traffic light. The dash cam vehicle is positioned in the leftmost lane, while oncoming traffic flows briskly in the opposite direction. Out of nowhere, a red Chevy Aveo sedan appears in the righthand side of the frame, with the driver attempting to cut perpendicularly through the stopped vehicles, causing confusion and chaos along the way.

One of the most astonishing parts of the clip occurs when the passenger in the Aveo gets out of the car and starts walking towards the moving traffic on the opposite side of the road. It seems as though they are trying to guide the driver of the Aveo into the flowing traffic, signaling when to move forward with the breaks in the cars. The move quickly draws honks from passing cars, as the Aveo inches closer towards the double yellow line.

Despite the reckless nature of the maneuver, the Chevy Aveo miraculously avoids a collision and merges with the opposite lane, although the maneuver leaves other drivers perplexed and frustrated. The vehicle with the dash cam wisely backs up during the scene, giving the Aveo more space to complete its confusing path through traffic.

While we can’t quite decipher the logic behind this bizarre move, it certainly documents just unpredictable – and often dangerous – other drivers can be. Check out the full viral video for yourself right here:
