Check Out The Most Popular 2024 Corvette Paint Colors

The 2024 Chevy Corvette debuted the fifth model year of the eighth-generation C8, marked by the launch of the 2024 Corvette E-Ray, as well as several minor updates and changes from the 2023 model year.

Chevy offers an extensive selection of colors for the 2024 Corvette. America’s sports car has a total of 14 exterior paint choices available, and they’re all available on all three C8 variants. Now that the configurator is live and production is under way for the 2025 Chevy Corvette, let’s look at the most popular paint options for all three C8 variants and the most popular hues overall.

Let’s start with the most popular C8 variant: the Stingray. Spoiler: the color popularity for the 2024 Corvette Stingray looks pretty similar to the ranking of most popular colors for the 2024 Corvette overall, since 72 percent of all 2024 Vettes built were Stingrays.

Continuing a trend we documented earlier in the 2024 model year, Torch Red (paint code GKZ) is not the most popular color choice for the Corvette despite the nameplate historically being closely associated with the color red. The most popular paint choice is Arctic White (G8G), getting 15.6 percent of the share of Stingray models. The other colors to get higher than a 10-percent take rate are Torch Red, Black (GBA), and Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat (GPH).

Interestingly, the 2024 Corvette E-Ray has the most even distribution of color variety across the C8 lineup. The Stingray and Z06 both have four colors with a take rate higher than 10 percent, but the E-Ray has six. Arctic White is the most popular and Riptide Blue Metallic (GKP) is the second favorite color, probably because it’s the launch color for the E-Ray. Many of the marketing materials for the C8 E-Ray show the hybrid sports car wearing this paint. The E-Ray is also the variant with the lowest take rate for Torch Red.

2024 Corvette Z06 rear three quarter angle.

The 2024 Corvette Z06 is most popular in Black, which we think is fitting. It’s the meanest-looking color for the most menacing C8 variant (so far). It has the same top four most popular paint options as the Stingray, but in a different order. Although only making up 5.6 percent of Z06 models produced for 2024, Amplify Orange Tintcoat (GCF) enjoys the most popularity on the Z06, again, likely because of the advertising paint color effect.

Finally, the master list of 2024 Corvette paint options ranked by popularity looks pretty similar to the Stingray list, as promised. This data shows that Corvette buyers are a bit stingy when it comes to paint; the three most popular paint choices don’t cost extra. Of the three new paint options for 2024, Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat (GZO) and Riptide Blue Metallic are the fifth and seventh most popular colors, respectively, but Cacti Green (GN5) is the second least popular, barely beating Accelerate Yellow Metallic (GTL).

  1. The table you present for E-Rays is the same table as the Stingray. Don’t know if this effects the total table.
