With orders officially opening for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq in Oceania, General Motors has just announced that Cadillac’s electric crossover is getting free public charging and five years of warranty, scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance support in Australia.
The automaker announced that every 2025 Cadillac Lyriq sold in Australia will come standard with one year of free public charging and five years of support, as part of a suite of ownership solutions exclusive to Cadillac customers in that country. The luxury brand confirmed it will partner with select charging providers and launch the ‘Cadillac Confidence’ warranty program to deliver a premium experience in the Australian market.
“Whether this is your first EV or your latest and greatest, we want to ensure the experience is a luxury one,” said Managing Director GM Australia and New Zealand, Jess Bala. “Cadillac will introduce charging partnerships which will enhance the EV experience, and at the same time deliver a high-end charging solution. Our philosophy is that you shouldn’t just live with one of the brand’s EVs but thrive with one,” she added.
In particular, the one-year free public charging service for the Cadillac Lyriq in Australia will be offered in partnership with Australia’s leading EV charging platform, Chargefox, which has thousands of chargers across the country. Customers will then have the option to choose between two additional years of free public charging or the free supply and installation of a standard 7.4 kW home EV charger from JET Charge.
Meanwhile, the new Cadillac Confidence warranty program introduced with the Cadillac Lyriq includes standard five-year, unlimited mileage vehicle factory warranty, roadside assistance and scheduled maintenance. Designed as a premium, comprehensive service to provide peace of mind and support to Lyriq owners, the program is transferable from one owner to another upon meeting certain terms and conditions.
The new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is now available to order in Australia and New Zealand, both at the brand’s regional site and at all-new Cadillac Experience Centers in Sydney and Melbourne. For now, the EV crossover’s free charging and five-year support services are only available in Australia, but the brand says it’s finalizing details for a similar offer for New Zealand customers.
