Following the introduction of the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV in Brazil at the end of July, General Motors has just announced the official premiere of the all-electric compact crossover in the country.
The all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV debuted in Brazil as the next model in Chevrolet’s growing portfolio of all-electric vehicles in the South American country. The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary revealed the final configuration and first equipment details of the new 2025 Equinox EV for the Brazilian market, where it will go on sale during the month of October.
“Chevrolet is preparing to expand its line of electric vehicles in Brazil. The next model is the Equinox EV, scheduled to debut commercially in October,” said Communications Department of GM Brazil. “In addition to its advanced dual-motor powertrain system, the Equinox EV also stands out for its striking design and advanced safety, connectivity and drivability features – including an intelligent driving experience,” the company added.
Notably, the all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV will arrive in Brazil in a single configuration equivalent to the North American market’s LT trim level decked out with several option packages. According to the company, it’s “the most technologically advanced model available globally” to date. The variant is packed with technologies such as the 17.7-inch infotainment system touchscreen, the on-board Wi-Fi hotspot, OnStar and the Google built-in inteface with EV-specific navigation.
The 2025 Chevy Equinox EV specs for Brazil include an Ultium Drive dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive, generating a combined 292 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque. The powertrain is fed by an Ultium Battery pack with twice the fast charging speeds of its main competitors and a range of 443 km or 275 miles, according to local institute INMETRO.
The all-new 2025 Chevy Equinox EV will be officially launched in Brazil in the coming days and will begin local sales before the end of the month, when it is expected to begin arriving at official dealerships. Units of the 2025 Equinox EV for the Brazilian market will be imported from the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico, which is responsible for supplying North America and most international markets around the world.
