2025 GMC Terrain Pricing Uncovered

The all-new third-generation 2025 GMC Terrain was unveiled this past August with a long list of updates and changes, including new styling, new safety items, and new technology features. Not only that, but the new Terrain introduces a revised trim level lineup as well. Now, GM Authority has uncovered 2025 GMC Terrain pricing information, including the crossover’s new starting MSRP.

As GM Authority has covered in the past, the 2025 Terrain trim level lineup kicks off with the new Elevation as the entry-level model variant, replacing the SLE and SLT offered prior to the latest 2025-model-year overhaul. Pricing starts at $31,395 for the 2025 GMC Terrain Elevation FWD, while upgrading to the Elevation AWD will bump that figure up to $33,395. Both prices listed here include a destination freight charge of $1,395, which matches the destination freight charge included for the 2024 model year.

2025 GMC Terrain Elevation Starting MSRPs
Trim Level Drivetrain 2025 MSRP + DFC
Elevation FWD $31,395
Elevation AWD $33,395

Notably, the MSRP for the entry-level 2025 GMC Terrain Elevation FWD is a bit higher than the MSRP for the entry-level 2024 GMC Terrain SLE FWD, the latter of which started at $30,095. For reference, the 2024 GMC Terrain SLT FWD started at $34,095. With this in mind, the new 2025 GMC Terrain Elevation effectively slots in between the 2024 Terrain SLE and 2024 Terrain SLT in terms of pricing.

It’s also worth noting that the new third-gen GMC Terrain will offer the updated AT4 and Denali trims for the 2026 model year, with the AT4 once again framed as the crossover’s more-rugged, off-roader-style variant, and the Denali framed as the more luxurious, well-appointed variant.

In terms of exterior styling, the 2025 GMC Terrain presents a more truck-like exterior style, with 17-inch wheels equipped as standard. The 2025 model year also introduces a new two-tone roof option. Inside, the third-gen Terrain is equipped with a standard 15-inch Diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System, which is flanked by an 11-inch diagonal driver information center.

As for the mechanical bits, the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine is standard across the lineup, while the GM D2 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico.

  1. Looking forward to GMC actually populating their “build & price” site for the new Terrain. Elevation with pleather seats is the sweet spot for me… no “black package”.

    1. Basically the Elevation IS a “Black Package” .

      1. Look up the “Elevation Package” on the ’24 SLT.

      2. Not anymore, Sparky. Elevation is now a blending of SLE and SLT trims, without mandatory black pack. The black pack is now an option pkg. Look it up.

  2. I sure hope GMC will at least give us two interior color choices and some better looking wheels. I would also like to see cloth seats with 8-way power, something you can’t so on the LT Equinox in the basic Elevation version.

    1. There are two color choices on the Elevation. Black, or black and taupe, in cloth, or vinyl if you purchase a deluxe pkg. AT4 I am sure will have one interior color theme, black with goldish stitching, and I believe Denali will have black or black and white.

          3. Your original comment said “Traverse” . I see now it was just a mix-up. You meant to say “Terrain”. Apologies. Let’s go back to Square 1 .

  5. I think we can agree the black w/white top looks like a Barney Fife, Mayberry RoboCruiser.

    1. That’s not a white top, it’s silver.

  6. In order to get the Elevation Convenience Package (power driver seat, etc.), you have to also get the Premium Package (pleather, etc.) and that’s a blatant ripoff. I wouldn’t want the Premium Package, thank you very much.

    1. So it’s the same money grab like the Equinox which is what I feared. A power driver’s seat should be standard on the GMC or at least a separate option. I don’t want fake leather seats and a bunch of other items just to get a power seat or tailgate.

  7. It’s perfect for my needs, except for the weak engine. A 2.0 Turbo with 225 hp on regular should be available.

  8. Love how all pictures of terrain now are black so it doesn’t highlight the absolutely terrible front end.

Trouble is, can’t unsee once seen
