  1. Like the Optiq, who the hell wants this either? GM, just admit you blew it with EVs and move on already.

    1. 1000s want it and it’s a great vehicle.

    2. I got the 2024 Sierra EV and it’s a perfect fit for my needs. Speak for yourself, Beachy.

  2. Is GM following other automakers and offering the same engine but one must pay more to get more horsepower? Is there any monthly subscription to keep “Edition 1’s” horsepower at Edition 1’s advertised level?

    1. So far, no. The subscription services have been limited to convenience and connectivity (OnStar, Super Cruise, navigation) but who knows what they’re going to do with future models.

They did have the high output turbo engine one the midsize trucks in two different states of tune, requiring a flash at the dealer to go from lower to higher, but that only lasted for MY2023. MY2024 got rid of the mid tune, the lower and higher ones having a few differences in components. For MY2025 they got rid of the low output engine as well.

    2. The lower hp of the “Extended” (or rather Shrunk) range version is probably because smaller battery = less power, no? Also this peak hp number doesn’t matter much, it’s only available in the Max Power mode which is way to aggressive to drive imo. Difficult to control the vehicle when accelerating at this mode.

  3. I’ve seen one Denali EV at a local GMC dealership that has been sitting there for 3 weeks now. Their Hummer EV SUV has been sitting there for 2 months. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of demand for them. I’ve seen more Cybertrucks than I have seen Hummers.

  4. What normal person is going to buy a $100000 pickup? That doesn’t get mileage, that is believable, and this goes for Tesla to any electric vehicle. People have mileage fever when they know they can’t go what they say. Nobody’s buying this $hit.gas is here to stay
