The 2025 GMC Sierra debuts the fourth-generation pickup’s seventh model year, bringing with it a few minor updates and changes. Per usual, customers have a variety of options at their disposal to upgrade the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 as they see fit. Now, the official 2025 Sierra 1500 configurator is online at GMC’s website, allowing anyone interested to spec the latest Sierra from tip to tail.

A total of nine trim level options are on the table, including the entry-level Pro, followed by the SLE, Elevation, and SLT. After that is the off-road-ready AT4, AT4X, and AT4X AEV Edition, as well as the luxurious Denali and Denali Ultimate. The least-expensive configuration on offer is the Pro trim level with rear-wheel drive, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, and the Regular Cab / Standard Box body, starting at $40,295. Meanwhile, the most-expensive model on offer is the AT4X AEV Edition with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, which starts at a whopping $89,790.

Note that both prices listed include $1,995 for the destination freight charge. It’s also worth noting that some 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 trim levels are more expensive than equivalent 2024-model-year trims, while other 2025-model-year trims are less expensive than equivalent 2024-model-year trims. Further updates for the 2024 model year include a revised exterior paint options list, with two exterior colors (Dynamic Blue Metallic, color code GLT; and Deep Bronze Metallic, color code GXN) dropped following the conclusion of the 2024 model year. The 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 will also offer a new Universal Vehicle Module design for use by upfitters as an available, extra-charge option.

Engine options include the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine and naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine already mentioned, as well as the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine and 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine. Under the skin, the GM T1 platform provides the underpinnings, with vehicle production taking place at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana and GM Silao plant in Mexico.

  1. There is no option to select SuperCruise on a 2025 Sierra Denali. I assume this is a bug in the configurator.

    1. You need to go back and look again. Super Cruise is not available as a stand alone option, but it is available as part of the “Denali Reserve Super Cruise Package”. It’s $4,015 and listed at the bottom of the Packages page. Besides Super Cruise, the package includes power steps, sunroof, 22″ wheels, wheel locks, heads up display and rear view camera mirror. Strangely the Super Cruise package is only available with the short bed. It makes no sense, but it’s typical of GM. Super Cruise is standard on the Denali Ultimate.

There are NO standard colors on the Sierra Denali, all six colors are optional. I was talking to my dealer today who sells Chevys and GMC’s, and asked him what happens if you don’t order one of the six colors, does your Denali come in primer? He was telling me they’re getting a lot of grief from customers already over the colors, and the trucks are just now hitting the lot. Where the High Country came in six colors last year, it’s only available in four for ’25, and the other Silverado’s went from seven and eight colors to five and six. None of the Sierra’s are available in more than six colors, and 3 of the available GMC colors are a variation of silver or gray?

This must be Mary’s latest plan to make GM all electric. Piss off the customers of their most popular and most profitable vehicles so they go elsewhere and then she can justify replacing the evil ICE pick ups with little electric SUV’s.

      1. Got it, I was looking at the standard bed, not the short. Thanks!
