2025 GMC Acadia Offers New Adventure Package

The 2025 GMC Acadia is still fresh from its full redesign for the 2024 model year. However, it’s already bringing some changes and updates for 2025. One of those is the addition of a new dealer-installed Adventure Package (LPO PCM).

This new package adds a list of accessories that enhance the Acadia’s style and versatility without any mechanical upgrades. If you’re looking for greater off-road capability, you’ll want to opt for the rugged Acadia AT4. However, if you just want some extra features to make the Acadia more suitable for an active lifestyle, this could be a more budget-friendly route, although pricing is still forthcoming.

The Adventure Package available for the 2025 GMC Acadia includes molded assist steps (VQO), roof rack cross rails (VLL), 18-inch gloss black wheels (EU2) with black lug nuts (SPY), wheel locks (SEZ), and center caps with red logos (5ZC), and a tire pressure monitor (SD5).

The Adventure Package’s most practical features are the roof rack cross rails and molded assist steps. The cross rails broaden the GMC Acadia’s storage options for accessories like a cargo box, bike rack, awning, or a variety of carriers for specialty items like kayaks, fishing gear, skis, and snowboards. The side steps make the top of the crossover easier to access, in addition to making it easier for shorter passengers to climb into the roomy three-row cabin.

In addition to this new LPO option package, GM Authority recently learned that the 2025 GMC Acadia will offer 8-passenger seating, but only for the entry-level Elevation trim. In contrast, the 2024 model exclusively came with seven seats; a second-row bench seat wasn’t an option.

As a reminder, the 2025 GMC Acadia is motivated by the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The GM eight-speed automatic transmission provides cog swaps, and the drivetrain is available in both FWD or AWD configurations.

The GMC Acadia is underpinned by the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, now including features like the GM Global B electrical architecture. Production of the 2025 model takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

    1. So you want a less powerful, car based engine as an option? Have you done any homework on the 2.5 or how you want power delivered in a heavy vehicle? Let me help jump start you on that, you want torque and you want it down low to move a heavy vehicle like the Acadia and news flash, the 2.5 is FAR SUPERIOR at that than the dated V6. Some people are just uninformed in their dated ways of thinking. It isn’t as simple as 6 is more than 4 and that means its better (beats chest)…

    1. Hey JD!

I have a 24 also and my driver tail light wasn’t working. It turned out to be that my Drivers Door needed re-aligned. Apparently there are sensors in there. Sounds crazy but it fixed mine! Not sure if it’ll work on yours but it’s worth a shot!

  5. I was able to factory order a 2025 GMC Acadia AT4 on September 27th, 2024. My dealer updated me on October 12th, stating that GM had already accepted the order (first one for this dealership), and with a Target Production Week (TPW) of November 11-15. 2025 Acadia reportedly started production in Lansing Michigan on October 14th.

  6. Another pretend edition with more black wheels. Its mind blowing people actually pay quite a bit extra for basically appearance altering cheap black paint!

  7. We recently drove our 2025 GM Acadia through the mountains of Tennessee. We were concerned that the engine would be loud and work harder. When we got to Florida my husband asked if I noticed the engine working harder or being louder going through the mountains? The answer was No! We are completely amazed! It was a smooth, comfortable ride with plenty of space for the dog and all of our stuff.

    1. I do a similar trip and wondered the same thing. Although I have not bought one yet I am planning on an2025 Acadia AT4. Only thing stopping me is fear. I have always had Toyota’s and reliability was outstanding. But the AT4 dimensions and tech are perfect for me. Just hope the engine will hold up.

  8. My wife has a 2024 AT4 and did have the taillight replace at 1,800 miles but it only took a week. She loves it. The 2.5L may sound weak but runs fantastic.
