2025 Corvette Stingray Z51 Package Gets Bigger Front Splitter

The 2025 Chevy Corvette debuts several important updates and changes, perhaps the most notable of which is the launch of the new C8 Corvette ZR1, the latest range-topping model for the eighth-gen Corvette lineup. That said, the 2025 Vette also debuts a few notable changes for the C8 Stingray, including a new Z51 rear spoiler, as GM Authority covered previously. Not only that, but the 2025 Corvette also debuts a larger Z51 front splitter.

Front splitter comparison between the 2025 Corvette and 2024 Corvette.

The larger Z51 front splitter for the 2025 Corvette was first spotted by Rick Conti, who posted a series of images to social media demonstrating the extended splitter length.

“What we noticed is the 2025 [splitter] is just a bit bigger all the way around,” Conti writes.

Looking over images, we see that the Z51 splitter is roughly 1.5 inches long for the 2024 model year and roughly 2.5 inches long for the 2025 model year. Interestingly, Chevrolet declined to mention this update at the recent Annual National Corvette Museum Bash in Kentucky, which took place this past April.

As a reminder, the Z51 Performance Package includes is priced at $6,345 and includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Z51 performance brakes (J55)
  • Z51 performance suspension (FE3)
  • Performance exhaust (NPP)
  • Performance rear axle ratio (GM7)
  • Electronic Limited Slip Differential (G96)
  • Z51 rear spoiler, front splitter (T0A)
  • 245/35ZR19 front and 305/30ZR20 rear high-performance tires (XFQ)
  • Heavy-duty cooling system (V08)

Per previous GM Authority coverage posted in September, the new 2024 Corvette Z51 rear spoiler (RPO code T0A) is similar in design to the High wing spoiler, and includes a series of four vertical posts that attach a wing element to the trunk of the Vette. The wing also incorporates two end plates that lend it an aggressive appearance.

As a reminder, the 2025 Corvette Stingray is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, while the GM Y2 platform provides the underpinnings. All C8 Corvette units are produced at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

  2. Appreciate & very interested in C8 ZR1 reports & information.

Did the top speed run of 233 mph stop because the tires are not rated much above that speed. And, will the ZR1 go faster in 7th & 8th gear?

    1. I suspect all 1200 HP are required to get to that speed. Power required to push through air increases at the cube of the speed. The 500 HP Z51 clams about 185 mph. 233 is 1.26 x 185 and should take about 1.26^3 or 2.00 x 500 or about 1,000 HP. The ZR1 has more drag than a Z51 with all the wings, dive planes, etc. which would easily account for the other 200 HP.
