2025 Chevy Traverse High Country: First Pictures

The Chevy Traverse was totally overhauled for the 2024 model year, debuting the crossover’s all-new third generation. The 2025 Chevy Traverse follows the initial 2024 model year with several important updates and changes, not the least of which is the reintroduction of the High Country trim level. Now, we’re getting our first look at the 2025 Chevy Traverse High Country in Iridescent Pearl Tricoat paint.

The interior of the 2025 Chevy Traverse High Country.

These photos look as though they were captured at a conference, with this brand-new 2025 Traverse High Country sitting pretty, front and center and on display. The Iridescent Pearl Tricoat exterior treatment is tagged with paint code G1W, while inside the crossover, we see a Jet Black with Sky Cool Gray interior colorway (RPO code HQM). The combination of these simple colors both outside and inside the vehicles creates a clean aesthetic, with the stark, black-and-white finish showing off the lines and design without too much distraction.

First are foremost, this 2025 Chevy Traverse High Country presents the crossover’s latest exterior design, complete with a bold front fascia and large upper air intake bisected by a prominent upper styling line. This upper styling line is topped by slim lighting signatures in the corners of the fascia, while lower in the fascia, we see rectangular lighting elements that provide the majority of forward illumination. Notably, the 2025 Traverse High County appears to feature Galvano chrome trim on the grille, as opposed to the standard chrome bits equipped by the LT model variant.

This Galvano chrome trim is continued around the windows, otherwise known as daylight openings, or DLOs. The side view also reveals that the 2025 Traverse High Country doesn’t include a High Country badge on the front fenders, as is the case for the Chevy Tahoe High Country, Chevy Suburban High Country, and Chevy Silverado High Country. In the corners, we see this 2025 Traverse riding on large two-tone wheels that match silver edging with black inner spokes. Also notable is the new shark fin-style C-pillar treatment, which is particularly noticeable with the black-and-white coloring.

The rear end finishes things off with ark-colored lenses for the wraparound taillights, while a High Country badge was added to the liftgate.

Inside, the 2025 Chevy Traverse High Country does not include special embroidery on the seats, although the leather upholstery does incorporate perforated leather patterns and seat piping similar to what can be found on the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban High Country.

As a reminder, the third-generation Chevy Traverse cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine as standard, while the GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

  1. The Sky Cool Gray leather is a complete miss & will quickly become a magnet for dirt/stains. A darker gray interior scheme would’ve been much more suitable.

Also, the lack of signature High Country badges on the side fenders & High Country embroidery on the front seat headrests are both key oversights that need to be corrected.

  3. Not a fan of making 22 inch wheels standard on this trim, should be an option.

  4. That aint a High Country, Thats the exact same as the “premier” that was spotted months ago in a parking lot, unless GM decided to make a premier a “high country” and further dilute what differentiates a premier between a high country in GM’s lineup. The High Country isn’t worth the money on any vehicle that GM offers that Trim on anymore there is simply not enough feature wise and appearance to differentiate between it and the LTZ/premier trims, especially with the blacked out look on 2025 tahoe high countrys just looks like a glorified RST

    1. They do not make a Premier trim level, per 2025 pricing guide.

  5. The primary view potential buyers want to see is the dash trim to see what they replaced the gaudy red on the RS with. I believe it’s called Harvest Bronze.

    1. We just purchased a 2025 RS last Friday. Its not bronze, its a very dark grey / black color now.

  7. Disappointing. The wheels are too big and overwrought, the exterior is barely different and why the black review mirrors? Also where is the embroidered seats and badges? The headliners and pillars should also not be black and the seats and door panels are way too light and will look terrible in a couple years of ownership. You can do a lot better gM

  9. Where is the brown interior? Why make it look sporty? This supposed to be the luxury trim and I do not see it

  10. All high country trimmed vehicles need the bronze/chrome grille, badges on the grille, upper fender, and rear An every option that the vehicle offers… like others said, this is more of a premier than HC

  12. Ok, I admit I’m being sarcastic but for once GM got it right. Theres no High Country badging becase, It doest look like a High Country ! Everything that used to make a High Country stand out is gone. There is no reason to buy one because you dont get anything extra for your money.
