The 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban debut a mid-cycle refresh complete with a huge number of updates and changes, from the styling to the cabin to the powertrain lineup. Indeed, interested customers are likely eager to dig into the options list to spec the full-size SUVs as they see fit. Now, interested customers can do just that using the official configurator tool on Chevrolet’s website, which is now live for the 2025 Tahoe and 2025 Suburban.
This is exactly in line with the prediction from our friends at Chevy Society. Last week, Chevy Society reported that the official 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban configurator tools were set to launch on Chevrolet’s website during the first week of November 2024. That said, sources also indicated that the configurator tools might be launched ahead of schedule, going live sometime between October 31st and November 1st. Now, here we are, on Halloween, tinkering with the configurator for Chevy’s refreshed full-size SUVs.
Production of the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban has been underway at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas since October 9th of this year. GM’s routine quality hold for all new and refreshed models caused the gap between the beginning of production and the configurator going live.
Compared to the preceding 2024 model year, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban show off new, more truck-like styling around the front fascia, incorporating thin upper lighting signatures matched to C-shaped lighting elements around the low-mounted headlamps. The rear end was updated as well and shows off a set of reshaped taillight housings. Chevy now offers wheel sizes up to 24 inches.
Inside, the two full-size SUVs are equipped as standard with a large 17.7-inch-diagonal infotainment screen, which is complemented by an 11-inch-diagonal digital driver information center. The center stack design was also revised. Available tech features include GM Super Cruise, the automaker’s hands-free driver assist system, as well as new trailering tech.
As for the mechanical components, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban ride on the GM T1 platform and offer three engine options: the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the new-for-2025 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. Notably, the Z71 trims of these two SUVs can now be optioned with a diesel engine for the first time.
Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Tahoe starts at $60,495 for the entry-level LS trim with 2WD and ranges up to $81,695 starting MSRP for the High Country trim equipped with 4WD. Meanwhile, 2025 Suburban prices are slightly higher, with the 2WD LS trim priced at $63,495 and the 4WD High Country trim motivated by the L87 V8 engine starting at $86,195.

I’m seeing a “base” 4WD High Country with the 3.0L diesel with a price of $83,785 vs $81,695 which was reported here previously: https://gmauthority.com/blog/2024/08/2025-chevy-tahoe-pricing-uncovered/
Are they including extras out of the gate that drive the price up?
I’m seeing $80,395 for base high country 4wd with diesel…
The wheels sure have gone down hill. I like the ones offered on the 2024’s much better.
Sadly, I agree. Furthermore, they are just too big also.
I like the 20″ AT4 we have on our Yukon XL, but I saw a Tahoe PPV the other day with 18″ 5 spokes, and the 18″ wheels actually looks very spotty. A 18″ Z71/AT4/RST wheel would look pretty sweet if you ask me.
Yes, the smaller the wheel the better.
My dealer is telling me they cant even place an order for a 3.0L diesel. They have several 6.2/5.3’s that just got delivered over the past two days. They are pretty nice. Love the new infotainment.
Which makes the LS just about the most perfect vehicle in existence. Now that you can add a couple more touches to it, there’s literally no reason to have another trim except the Z71.
