2025 Chevy Silverado EV Configurator Live

The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV drops in as the second model year for the first-generation electric pickup. Now, the online configurator is live for the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV, but as of this writing, it’s limited to the LT and RST variants.

The 2024 model was only available in the WT and RST First Edition trims. Although the LT trim level is technically the only new variant so far for 2025, the Silverado EV range is significantly expanded compared to its debut year.

The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV is available with Standard, Extended, and Max Range battery packs. The standard Range battery’s range hasn’t yet been announced, but the Extended Range gets up to 422 miles, and the Max Range setup is good for up to 492 miles on a full charge.

The fleet-only WT trim is the only one available with all three battery packs. The LT comes exclusively with the Extended Range battery, and the top RST trim is available in Extended Range or Max Range configurations.

Similar to the gas-powered Chevy Silverado, the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV WT trims are the work truck trims, LT is mid-range, and RST is the sporty model loaded with options. The new-for-2025 LT trim boasts a massive 17.7-inch infotainment screen and an 11-inch driver information center as standard.

For those looking to step up, the LT Premium Package offers additional luxury and utility features like the available Multi-Flex Midgate, which extends the truck’s load floor to nearly 11 feet. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assist and trailering system is also available with this package.

Another change for the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV is five new paint options: Blue Smoke Metallic (GAI), Habanero Metallic (GAG), Riptide Blue Metallic (GJV), Slate Gray Metallic (GNO), and Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic (GLG). Blue Smoke is exclusive to the LT trim, and Zephyr Blue Matte is only available on the RST.

The off-road-oriented Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss was slated to be a 2025 model, but now it appears it will either come mid-model year or we’ll be waiting till the 2026 model year. The Silverado EV Trail Boss was teased in a Super Bowl ad in 2023, shown off in a Chevrolet Canada Instagram post earlier this year, and we spotted one testing in Spring, but it’s not on the configurator yet.

Production of the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV is under way at the GM Factory Zero plant in Hamtramck, Michigan. The Silverado EV is motivated by GM battery technology and GM drive motor technology, while the GM BT1 platform provides its structure.

  2. You say the 2025 Silverado EV configurator is live but it isn’t. No link in the article. Chevy site still only has 2024 RST FE
