2025 Chevy Express Pricing Uncovered

Making its formal introduction all the way back in 1996, and later updated for 2003, the Chevy Express is the oldest General Motors model still in production, and indeed, one of the longest-running automotive designs ever made. Unsurprisingly, the latest 2025 Chevy Express drops in with only minimal updates and changes compared to the preceding 2024 model year. Nevertheless, the 2025 Chevy Express is now considerably more expensive.

The 2025 Chevy Express is considerably more expensive than the preceding 2024 model year.

Looking over the latest pricing figures, the 2025 Chevy Express starts at $38,845 for the Cutaway 3500, 139-inch Wheelbase Work Van variant with the naturally aspirated 4.3L V6 LV1 gasoline engine. The most expensive model on offer is the LT trim in the Passenger 3500 Extended Wheelbase configuration with the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, which starts at $54,840.

Compared to the preceding 2024 model year, the 2025 Chevy Express is considerably pricier, with all Express Passenger van configurations now $2,450 more expensive than equivalent 2024-model-year vehicles. The Express Cargo 2500 and Express Cargo 3500 are $1,100 more expensive and $1,950 more expensive, respectively, while the 139-inch and 177-inch wheelbase Express Cutaway are $450 more expensive. The only configuration that isn’t more expensive for the 2025 model year is the 159-inch wheelbase Express Cutaway:

  • Express Cargo 2500 (regular and extended wheelbase): +$1,100
  • Express Cargo 3500 (regular and extended wheelbase): + $1,950
  • Express Cutaway 139- and 177-inch wheelbase: +$450
  • Express Cutaway 159-inch wheelbase: +$0
  • Express Passenger: +$2,450

As for updates, the 2025 Chevy Express no longer offers the optional audio system upgrade, which included an AM/FM stereo with MP3 player and USB port, tagged with RPO code U0H. The only stereo offered now is an AM/FM unit with auxiliary jack and two front-door speakers (RPO code U0F). However, a Bluetooth connection kit (RPO VUL) is available as a dealer-installed option.

2024 Chevrolet Express Cargo - Interior

With regard to the mechanical components, the Chevy Express is available with the naturally aspirated 4.3L V6 LV1 gasoline engine, rated at 276 horsepower and 298 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The GMT 610 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri. Production of the 2025 model year has been pushed back to October 17th, 2024. Production of the Express Cutaway variant also takes place at a Navistar facility in Ohio.

  2. Time for a new van upgrade 30 years same van Ford transit is out selling them 50 times over I don’t want to buy a Ford but I might be forced to Gm needs to step up to the plate

  3. You deleted my comment. I complained I don’t want to pay extra for a van that has barely changed and not improved (and anything can be improved). I’m not going to shell out extra and if I do you’ll just move to a Ford Transit which I don’t like because it’s ughlee to me but will if I have too.
