After announcing pricing for the model in Oceania in mid-August, General Motors has just announced that the new 2025 Chevy Corvette E-Ray has officially arrived in Australia and New Zealand.
The automaker confirmed the arrival of the all-new 2025 Chevy Corvette E-Ray in Australia and New Zealand, where the hybrid sports car is now available at GM Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) authorized dealerships. As such, the 2025 Corvette E-Ray expands the eighth-generation model’s lineup in the countries by joining the Corvette Stingray and the track-focused flagship of the lineup, the Corvette Z06.
“The Corvette is a true icon of the performance car world and now that story is entering a new era with the arrival of our first ever electrified supercar, the Corvette E-Ray,” said Managing Director GM Australia and New Zealand, Jess Bala. “With the surety of all-wheel drive, E-Ray isn’t only the quickest Corvette yet, but it’s the ultimate all-weather, all-condition supercar. The E-Ray’s arrival means we now have a Corvette to suit every driver,” she added.
The 2025 Chevy Corvette E-Ray is available in Australia and New Zealand exclusively in the top-of-the-line 3LZ Coupe trim level, which includes the highest set of technology and safety features available on the vehicle. The version for both countries comes standard with the ZER Performance Package bringing rubber, suspension and cosmetic tweaks, as well as carbon-ceramic brakes that increase the E-Ray’s track capabilities.
Mechanically, the 2025 Chevy Corvette E-Ray stands out as the most powerful mid-engine sports car in Australia and New Zealand, thanks to the combination of the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine with a front-mounted electric motor, which together develop a total output of 488 kW (654 horsepower) and 806 Nm (594 pound-feet) of torque. The electric motor is powered by a 1.9 kWh battery and enables AWD traction.
The new 2025 Chevy Corvette E-Ray is now available for sale at the brand’s official dealer network in Australia and New Zealand, where it ushers in an electrifying new era for the iconic Corvette nameplate with more than 70 years of history. The 2025 Corvette E-Ray 3LT Coupe complements the model lineup and, like the other variants, is manufactured in right-hand drive configuration at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

I really wish they hadn’t named this “E-Ray”. Almost everyone I talk to about it assumes it’s an EV, but that V8 hybrid AWD setup is pretty great IMHO. I wish they had a Camaro setup similar to this.
