In addition to the 2025 Chevy Captiva Black Edition’s debut in Mexico, General Motors launched the new 2025 Chevy Aveo Black Edition in the Latin country.
The new 2025 Chevy Aveo Black Edition has been officially launched in Mexico, a new variant of the automaker’s best-selling vehicle in that country, the first in the world where Chevrolet’s new entry-level vehicle was introduced, and the only one in which it is marketed with the Aveo nameplate. The 2025 Aveo Black Edition is an exclusive package for the five-door hatchback version for the new model year.
“With the Captiva and Aveo Black Edition package, we offer a new youthful and sporty option that will reinforce the presence of both models in their segments,” said Marketing Manager for Chevrolet at GM Mexico, Angel Pacheco. “Both vehicles retain the attributes of performance, safety and connectivity, which are combined with an attractive exterior design that will make your trips a fun experience in the city or on the road,” he added.
Specifically, the new 2025 Chevy Aveo HB Black Edition builds on the model’s LT trim level and adds a bolder exterior appearance with blacked-out finishes, new aerodynamic moldings, and other eye-catching design elements. As such, the Black Edition accentuates the sporty character of the two-box body with a black grille, wheels, mirrors, and logos, as well as a more prominent spoiler and new bumpers that it introduces to the entire hatchback model line.
At the same time, the 2025 Chevy Aveo HB Black Edition debuts a new exclusive body color called Track Yellow that extends to the front brake calipers. In addition, the Aveo Black Edition features the LT’s basic interior with a good set of standard features and a 6-speed manual transmission with a chrome-trimmed and leather-wrapped shift knob.
The new 2025 Chevy Aveo HB Black Edition will be available for sale starting late next month at the brand’s dealer network in Mexico, where this and all other versions of the vehicle are imported from China. The Black Edition trim will be exclusive to the five-door model and is not expected to reach the more popular sedan version for now. The price is 324,600 pesos, about $16,350 USD at the current exchange rate.

Perfect example of the atrocious yellows and blues (and some greens, reds and oranges) being sent out these days, and hardly just by GM. Calm it down and release some actually stomachable versions of those colors!
Someone(s) got an obsession to fluorescent highlighters.
Beachy: Weren’t you on here yesterday complaining on the article about less colors? And now you are mad about this bright color that is geared towards the younger crowd? What gives?
Cheap and cheerful, what a concept. Chevrolet just might have customers for this car in the USA.
In your wildest dreams that present-day GM would offer something that cheap in the US.
I think it’s a nice looking little (sporty) hatch. Even with a couple mods for upgraded safety, GM could sell that in the US and still keep it under 20 grand.
Bring it.
IN MY OPINION, HALT ALL E CAR PRODUCTION. FURTHER ADJUST THE MILEAGE ON THE TRAX….EVEN THOUGH THE TRAX GETS WONDERFUL MPG NOW. ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT….WE HAVE BOUGHT 3 NEW TRAX. WE FEEL THIS IS A GREAT MARKET FOR MANY PEOPLE. KEEP WORKING ON THE E CARS AND TRUCKS UNTIL YOU CAN PRODUCE ENOUGH OF THEM TO MAKE THE DEMAND, AMD BUILD ONE THAT CAN GET US TO THE GREAT SMOKY MTS. THAT’S 340 MILES AWAY FROM OUR HOME.
A nice hatch with a manual. Never see it in U.S.
I would buy this in a hurry ! Love the design !
